    Has anybody noticed this yet?

Thanks, Humpa the flash worked perfect!

I don't know if anyone has noticed this or not, but when charging with the phone on the backlight seems to dim a little. I'm not sure if this was on the old firmware or not. But I just wanted to point that out.

Also, is there a way to use iTap for text messages?

Figured that it might work and so I tried.

If you can read this it means it worked.

It is 1X but it works.
Thanks to RWB for figuring this out on the Razr.
    ##DIALUP didnt do anything.
Also havent tried through MPT or BT from my ipaq.

Best of both worlds. New firmware and DUN
Confirmed. Posting this from an Axim X50v

OK WELL i jsut flashed and i can confirm some of the things said thus far regarding what this update actually does, but im sure other things that i dont say tht others did will sooner or later when i use them prove to be true as well.

    1. camera is much better, faster, sharper
    2. vibrate actually vibrates. the thing 'walks' down my desk when somebody calls...

one question i have though, is that if this file was done on NOV 9 or whatever, why did it take them so long to get it to the stores? wtf

verizon prides itself on "extensive" testing so i wouldn't be surprised to hear that this took six to eight weeks after motorola finished it for verizon to approve it for the masses.

The second seem should be 2771 length 20, that is the seem to blank the outer display.

I've answered my own question. If you want to send a text message using iTap, all you need to do is go to entry setup in the text message setup, and press iTap english. I never knew about this feature, its a good thing to have.

This thread is growing by leaps and bounds. It's starting to get a little hard to trudge through it all. Could someone maybe summarize the whole thing down by bullet item to what exactly the new update gives and takes away? Specifically, is the interface changed, and does DUN work or does it not?
I do not seem to have any problems with my phone, so at this point, I see no need to get the phone updated. But as you might realize, I don't know what I don't know.

Well I have never tried this but in many cases forcing the phone to 1x makes the battery last longer. Because the EVDO signal really drains the battery because of the high speed connection which isnt really need unless you use vcast and or want a faster mobile browser. So in your case it would be ok.

Mark V has a link to it on his Seem Edit page - here's the link:
    http://www.v710.org/mark/Files/2742_seem_by_Humpa.zip

I'm also still using my old Websession file - it is a pain to enter in all my websessions, so I have a websession file that I saved a while back - and I use that for my V710 and E815.

And I'm still using the old mma_ucp and mma_dcp menu files from a V710 with 1.30.8f, so I have the WebSession and Browser menus under the Mobile Web menu (I like to have a Shortcut to WebSessions).
Here is a thread about that, if you don't know what I'm talking about:

On a Side Note: There is still no OPP on the E815 with this new firmware. I never mentioned that before, because like kbman said, it was rather certain that there was no chance that it would be included.

Thanks for this post. I did try to click through seem 2742 and enable the web sessions/browser menus, but I was unsuccessful. I'm glad that you posted this here for us to find it! Thanks again Humpa!

I have a dumb (or dumber question) for ya. I would like to get either a copy of the original picture files from a motorola e815. Or, an entire original backup filesystem so I can pluck the original pics out of it.
