Anyone else on here know if any of the stores in San Diego have the new version yet? I called a few places and no one knew what I was talking about. (Shocking, I know.) If I could find one that had it I would get it done ASAP.
I use nothing but Bluetooth headsets(6?), and I've had a few E815's(3?). I've never had an echo. Most of us using E815's and BT headsets never had an echo (or so it seems from all the posts I've read).
My point is, that everyone has(had!) the same firmware, yet there are a few of you left who still have echo problems. That sounds more like a bad batch of phones, or something like that - maybe a bad batch of a certain component, whatever.
I'd get that phone replaced, and get the new firmware. If you wait till your store has the new flash, they will not want to give you a new phone - they will want to flash your phone.

Unfortunately I've been through multiple phones already. My wife also has an 815 with the same problem, as does a co-worker down the hall from me. We all bought at different times and have different serial ranges.

I don't disagree with what you're saying, but I'm tired of going through phones and am hoping this will fix it. I've never had most of the other problems that people here complain about, for whatever that's worth - just the bluetooth one.

A guy can dream can't he?

I know I didn't quite answer your question, but if you never had a Verizon banner to begin with and the flash changes that, you'll know what to do.
Thanks, it's odd but I've never had a banner on the inside, even before I did seem editing. Yeah, I guess if the flash puts one there, will the seem edit completely remove it, or is it only to put in a custom one?

Well, that goes right along with another theory that some people had. That the echo had something to do with the cell towers equipment, and not the phone per se - rather a combination of the E815 using speakerphone (or Bluetooth) and the tower you are on.

But that is neither here nor there - get your phone flashed so you can let us know!

    BTW, I just flashed mine.
I had to use PST 7.2.3 - I was using 7.1.1 which worked fine for seem edits, but would not put the E815 into flash mode.

Also, all my Bluetooth Devices remained paired on my E815 - they all show up in the phone's menu under BT Devices still.
I can start a DUN connection from my laptop, and it connects - but I get an invalid username/password error.
So, I assume I could use the 14.4k network if I used a dial-up ISP number.

I don't really use MPT for anything but backing up my phonebook.
But it seems to work exactly as before - I still have a functioning MMS Studio and everything.
    BTW, this is using Bluetooth.

Also with the new firmware, I can still iniate a DUN session from my laptop.
I can't connect to the EVDO network, no matter what username/password I try.
I haven't tried the 1x network, and I don't have a dial up number to try a third party ISP.

I don't know if anyone else has noticed this. But since I flashed my phone this morning, when I launch a websession, it allows me to use iTap to enter some information. Not every fill in field, but some.

Yeah, I noticed that. iTap is the default method on some fields now.

Forgive me... but I can't seem to find the flash and test commands. Could anybody point me in the right direction. PST 7.2.3 and drivers are loaded.

    Humpa,
Did you reload your v710 mma ucp and dcp files to get websession access?
Any recriminations at all or are you a total convert?
I've used DUN about a half dozen times mostly just to play with it, once when my DSL went out for a couple hours, so no great loss.
