is there a difference between b and g if you're just using the mda's wifi to access the internet? and are all g boxes backwards compatible to b? sorry for such a basic question, but the CC guy couldn't help me with this question.

Just a note, the complete clear clase (http://www.proportamusic.com/product.php?id=1110) is for the MDA compact and doesnt fit the Tmobile MDA well. It is a different product without the sliding keyboard. Not sure if they have one for the MDA itself, but doesnt look like it. I could be wrong though, but remember the MDA compact being much thinner

If not, I think there is a sticky about it somewhere.

Had my MDA all day yesterday, ended up returning it at night.
I currently have a Qtek8310/ImatSP5 which is the SDA but with a more business and professional look.
The MDA seemed small to me at first it being a full PDA. But as the day wore on, it just seemed to get bigger. The physical dimensions are fine except the depth. This phone is really thick compared to all the phones i've used in the past. I just couldnt get past this.
Another thign is reception, it is horrible, just as bad and if not worse than the SE T610, we all remember how bad that was. By far the 8310/SP5/SDA has the best reception of ANY phone.
I enjoyed having a qwerty keyboard, but when you have the MDA in your pocket, the keyboard just slips out slowly on its own. So if you walk around with it in your pocket for about an hour or so, you'll find that the keyboard has extended 1/4 of the ways out. This is just really annoying.
The overall build quality is Very poor for a HTC phone. Compared with the Qtecs and Imates that use metal in alot of the casing for their phones, the MDA is all about plastic. Take off the battery cover and bend it, there is alot of flex in this phone. I can easily see one drop ending the life of good machine.
I believe the WM5 Smartphone is the better choice instead of a WM5 PDA phone enabled. The smartphones like the SDA in my opinion perfectly balance e-mail/internet/scheduling with a cell phone where as the MDA is all about a PDA, with little attention to ease of use for a cell phone. Like numerous magazine reviews had said, very poor phone implementation.
One last thing, i am using 4.99 Tzones on my Qtek8310/SDA for full internet browsing, and e-mail. I could only get one or the other working on the MDA, if i wanted to browse, i had to change one setting, but then my e-mail couldnt be connected.
Please keep in mind that these are purely my Opinions.

Man, I saw the MDA on the T-Mo website when I logged in yesterday. When I logged in today with my credit card in hand it had been removed.![]()
Now it's not an option as an upgrade. That's BS man!

What is the best website for free ringers and wallpaper for the MDA?
they aren't called wallpapers on the mda, they are called themes and this site has a lot of free ones: http://www.pocketpcthemes.com/Originally Posted by tbrown801
Just checked mine too and it isn't there. I would just call if you want to do an upgrade and they still should be able to do it for you....thats if they aren't sold out already.....Originally Posted by Charliemaul

You think if I keep calling back eventually a rep will agree and do it?

from what i gathered, internet access isn't any different between b and g since you're limited by the 3or 5Mbps of your internet connection, so you won't notice a difference. the only difference is if your box goes back to b and slows the whole LAN down to 11Mbps and you can't access files at 54Mbps between computers. hope this helps.
once a phone hits low stock, they switch it to new accounts only. this happened with the razr as well. for us upgraders, we have to wait till stock is full again before we can upgrade through the website. perhaps calling them would work, but their policy is to leave the low stock stuff open to only new accounts. it's CRAP if you ask me.Originally Posted by Charliemaul
