    Using DUN, Keeping DUN!

    Hi,

I have read that there is a hack that allows you to have uninterputed internet connection using Wmodem or Bluetooth.

Currently, I will be connected to the internet via Wmodem and then I receive a call and it drops my internet connection. Is there anyway to retain the internet connection AND be able to take the call without the loss of connectivity?

Sorry if this has already been addressed, but I looked all over and haven't seen the hack for this.

Thanks for your help on this.

When I "Dial ##3328873 Press Send" it rings 2-3 times then I get the voice message, "your call cannot be completed as dialed..." Any ideas?

So I can avoid doing a full hard reset, do you know which Verizon App in particular I need to load for the ##332... to work? I'd like to avoid re-loading and reconfiguring everything when everything else is working perfectly. Thx!

I need to install Customize_105201.sa.CAB, do the ##32... fix, then uninstall it.

Hey everyone, just picked up this fine piece of equipment today, the 6700 got verizon. I used to have an E815 and used the DUN wherever and it used it as just minutes. My question is, will this phone react the same way?

One more question that i'm really wanting to know...
Can the phone itself simply connect to the #777 internet-as-minutes type deal, and use internet functions on the phone? Still playing around with the thing to figure stuff out, but any help would be great. Thanks!

    Anyone clarify?

I decided to buy this phone a week ago (have about 8 months left on my Verizon contract and need internet access for business). I'm going to go with the 45$ unlimited plan for the PDA. My question is, can you access the internet via USB Tethering under that same cost? I don't plan on using tons of data on my laptop, just play poker/check email why i'm at a friends house or on the raod or something. Comments? Suggestions?

My friend bought a new Laptop with Vista. She used the XV6700 before with XP as a modem. She is unable to get it to work with her new laptop. As anyone had any success with Vista? She has the Verizon version. Thanks in advance for any help...

    Exclamation

I have been struggling to get my 6700 connected as a usb modem for some time now. This has been by far the most informative thread I have found, however I have still having some difficulties. I am getting an error message when I try to start Wmodem.

I hit the end call button to disconnect the data call as instructed. After I do that I click on my "Wmodem" file to start the program. When the program starts I hit "start" and then get this error message

    Data Call Failure

    Error Code 1010

Data service is not available when device is in tethered and bluetooth dial up networking mode.

I can't get past this to connect the device to my laptop to set up the drivers etc.

If anyone has any ideas of what is happening here, I would love to hear them.

    Thanks,

    Zeke

Has anyone had any luck getting this to work in Vista??? I'm tearing my hair out here, and I see some threads around the internet with a ton of code to be pasted into an INF file that will make it work, but I need like a step by step thing as this isn't my forte!

    HELP!!!

    Thanks! :-)

I just bought a new laptop with Vista Home Premium on it ... Installed a bluetooth adapter and it worked great for connecting to the internet through my phone. However, i haven't been able to get it to work with the USB cable. Will update if i figure that out. Anyone out there get it going?
