Unfortunately, I do not have any Bluetooth associations with my XV6700. I just received the phone yesterday and have not had a chance to pair it with anything. Does anyone have any other thoughts of what could be causing the COM PORT 8 conflict?
I was able to aviod problems by using a bluetooth connection but still have the problem with the teathered solution. I am using a regular mini-USB cable- do I need a special data cable?
Having trouble pairing my XV6700 with a Nokia 770. The 770 sees the XV6700 fine, but the XV6700 doesn't seem to see the 770. After trying to pair the two, a message says data transfer is not possible. (bluetooth pairing with a Win XP laptop no problem)
I am having the same problem.. I followed the instructions... set the bluetooth and wmodem in the phone with the 000000 password.. reset the phone.. discovered services.. and it just came up with the comport and voice gateway.
I am also having a problem with wired sync too.. I was able to do it once.. chose to disable it a second time, and have yet to figure out what the hell I need to do to turn that on as well.. BAH!!

To turn off active syn, right click on the active syn icon in your task bar and select connection settings. Then uncheck the allow usb connections box, or check the box to turn it on.
I can teather and dial out for about ten seconds then the phone disconnects and the pc has to redial out. any ideas on what's going on here?
please be gentle if this has been discussed already.

my father just picked this up and it has push email on it as I wait impatiently for the 700w to get updated. Before I go fixing his phone, does anyone know if this version has dun already enabled?
1 - Are the below directions correct if I want to tether my 6700 for internet access on my laptop, not using BT?
2 - Once I follow the steps, and using wModem, how do I connect to the internet, do have to dial my ISP number like a traditional modem or is it another process?
There is more to this I know, trying to keep quote/post short.
