If it works, it doesn't matter how much or how little it costs you.
If you feel that you have to correct some of my posts for my capitalization of some of my words, then just bear with it. It's just a discussion forum where some may be limited by time to answer in well-versed and eloquent sentences.

I already got a PHD (Plain High School Diploma) so ignore my style of writing and I'll ignore your ignorance.

Interesting. What do you use to cut the tape for the exact fit? An X-acto knife or something of the sort?

Ususally only on the side of the tape but the centre is perfectly clean.

If it does, all you need to do is use another piece of tape to put over it and then peel it off cleanly. I did the same thing when I had to replace the screen protector I put on my T637 last year.

Masking tape is much more user friendly

I do this too!! I cut 3M's magic tape for the key pads - it's a little matte, not shiny like clear tape.

    ... and much less transparent.

couldn't you use WD-40 on a rag to remove the tape residue??

yeah, except Rubbing Alcohol would remove the paint off the plastic.

I'm thinking WD-40 would only leave the smell of the spray.

You know, I keep hearing about using packing tape as a screen protector but I still cannot imagine that it is good for the screen. Especially when taking it off. Sure you might need to use WD40 or goo gone to remove all of the adhesive and each of those products has a distinct smell. I really don't like the idea of this. Just buy martinfields or exim screen protectors.

I've used tape on atleast 10 phones with no problems...I dont see how it could possibly be bad for the phone, i generally get no residue and if u do get residue a lil brake cleaner does in with that...also the tape tends to last a year without starting to look bad
