He said a crowded cable connection which is what I would expect.
Ok ive lost interest in this thread , why hasn't anyone asked me how I got those crazy D/L numbers. I was trying to make a point,
I was using Google accelerator(could of been any pre fetch or proxy{Opera mini}). I am just suggesting that including that info(or the lack of it)would be of interest.
That's nothing to brag about. Given the right time of the day, I could probably beat that right here at home. But during the day, I usually get this on my cable connection:
I have Optimum Online from Cablevision. They are scared we're gonna dump them for Verizon's FIOS which does 15mbps/2mbps over fiber optic for the same price, so Cablevision upgraded us from 10mbps/1mbps to 15mbps/2mpbs at no extra charge.

FIOS is coming to my hood too! Taking forever, but it's cheaper than my cable by 25%. When Verizon started to install it here they permanently severed the copper making any FIOS location useless for the other(non fibre)phone companies. They got ***** slapped in court and now all is well. But this is a good example of how competition/legal system works, and I believe eventually will with wireless.
EVDO Rev A is not a big deal of an upgrade. It merely increases average DL speeds to 300-800kbps and reduces latency a bit to make it closer to what HSDPA is. By what I read about Rev A it is simply an attempt to catch up with HSDPA 3.6. On the UL, Rev A is faster than HSDPA, but then HSUPA will surpass that.

And better yet if you pay an extra ~$8-10 then it's 25Mb/s down... (perhaps with 2Mb/s up?)
