Talking Which celleular provider has the best coverage in Boston area?

First time posting on this forum, hope I didn't break any rules by asking this question.

Currently I have Verizon, but my phone is dying and need to be replaced. I likeCigular's service plan due to its 1000 minutes anytime anywhere with minutes carry over. Unfortunately its Motorola V60i phone cost a fortune. AT&T's V60i is free after rebate. I heard I can pricematch Cigular with AT&T's free phone deal. Is that true? If not, I might have to go for AT&T.

How's Cigular's coverage in Boston compares to Verizon and AT&T? In Boston and Chicago, I only had two dead spots for Verizon. Heard they got the most coverage in the US. I don't know about AT&T thus.

    Thanks.

within boston itself all the carriers work pretty much fine. most ppl are in suburbs and the highways too. in that case, verizon and cingular (tdma) provide the best coverage. at&t tdma is pretty much similar to the cingular tdma coverage, as it uses their towers too.

i use cingular tdma, travel all over new england, and it is excellent.

if you want gsm, wait till cingular launches gsm here, as t-mobile is spotty and so is at&t gsm. yet cingular's gsm launch will be using the same frequency and towers as their tdma, and therefore give you the same coverage as their tdma, which is superb.

Wouldl it be nice if Wooster lives in Worcester? BTW, I live in Hudson, MA. Not far away from Worcester.

Thanks for your information Rockon83. It answered all my question. Guess Cingular is the way to go with their supior coverage and advance technology. The only concern I have is will I able to match the phone deal with AT&T? Get the Motorola V60i for free.

Actually, you may want to double-check the "anytime anywhere" for the 1000-min plan. My understanding is this is a local (Home) plan and does not offer nationwide coverage, unless Cingular is doing something different in your market which they are not offering in the Philly market...
