*2767*MEDIA# Reset Media (Deletes All Sounds/Pics) Does this code mean that u have more KB free for your own ringtones and pics?
You would type in the same thing on the S300.
But in case it wasn't clarified earlier, this will just delete all the "downloaded" media... not the built-in pictures/ringers.
(reading the post you made in the other thread, you might have a corrupt file, like I did in your pics menu... this prevented me from downloading any other pics, nor could I delete it thru the menu... using that above code deleted all the downloaded files and the problem was solved for me)
I unlocked my S105 so I could put my cingular chip in there. It powers on OK, but I can't get it to connect to my towers. I'm in Dallas, so there shouldn't be a lack of Cingular GSM towers. Anybody got a clue what's wrong.

The S105 is Tri-band 900/1800/1900Mhz and Cingular is more than likely running on the GSM 800Mhz aka 850Mhz in your Area.
I just got my X-427 yesterday and I've been playing around with these "hidden settings" I have a few questions that I hope someone may be able to answer. The first one may seem stupid, but I see a lot of letters in some of these codes, but I don't see any way of typing letters, jut numbers. Do these letters meerly refer to the number containing that letter?
I was using the "registers" code (*#9999*0#) and was noticing that many of the figures were changing every few seconds. Does anyone know what each item represents? On the first line, second item, Sxx keeps changing from S00 to as high as S24. Could this be signal strength? In the fourth line, second item is another Sxx, with a lower case 's' this time. It also changes regularly. I'm really curious as to what all these numbers represent.
The letters in the codes refer to the number the letter is on (i.e. ABC = the #2, DEF = #3) so when they say *#9998*DEAD# they mean *#9998*3323#.
As for what the items represent, don't know. Could very well mean signal strength as I can see the numbers fluctuate and also see the standby screen when I press the right soft key.
Ok...no shouting anymore! Here 's wot i did on a E710 Vodafone Live locked to Vodafone UK.
Found some instructions about unlocking:
....and I quote...:
"1. Turn off your phone, put in a SIM of a provider that it is NOT LOCKED (difference company's SIM card) to, and turn it back on.
2. At the wrong card message, type *#9998*3323#. A message will pop up telling you to press exit, so hit the right soft key. Choose number 7 (or 8 or 9 will work too, I think). Your phone will reboot and your SIM will work.
3. Type *0141# and then hit call. This will give you a message saying your phone is personalized.
4. Power down your phone and insert a SIM card other(another company) than the one that is in it. Then power back up your phone.
5. At the SIM pass code prompt type 00000000, that is 8 zeroes. So that will totally UNLOCK your phone."
Initially i tried this: *#9998*3323# but nothing happened.
So i typed: *2767*688MyIMEI#
The phone reset itself then gave the Please wait note and logged on to network--> was unlocked!! (or maybe not!)
I then typed the *0141# (c) and it said Personalised.
I tried with a different SIM card (different carrier) and asked me for the SIMLOCK password. I put 8 zeroes but it was wrong.
I also tried my provided code (MCC+MNC) that was 20201 (Cosmote Greece) plus 3 zeroes---> 20201000
but still error.
Anyway...i did the procedure again from the beginning 2 more times.
Is there any chance that the phone gets locked for good?
Now I stopped to the point just before *0141#(c) just to be able to use my Cosmote simcard--but can't get it unlocked completely.
Also...another glitch i noticed...the languages menu is grayed out so can't change the language...luckily i got English!!
Can anyone help please??
Sorry for big posting but had to describe the process.
Thank U!
I have a Samsung S105 with Tmobile. I'm getting a Nokia 6820 for ATT. After I get the phone, I'll have my tmobile service cancelled.
I did the code the "unlock" the samsung phone. It said it was, "personalization removed" or something to that effect.
How do I now make it so I can use the S105 on the SAME att account? Do I need to have the ATT sim flashed to a blank sim and then insert it into the S105? If so, how do I do that? Can I just erase the S105 sim and flash it onto that one so I don't have to buy another sim?
Point being, I want to use both phones for the same account. I don't see the point in having two great phones while only being able to use one.
I would appreciate any help that you could give me.

I was wondering why the frisbee kept getting bigger, and then it hit me.

Go to this Sticky in the General Questions Section of the General Mobile Discussion Forum for the answers. GSM Phone Unlocking FAQ
The GPRS/CSD java settings takes you to the hidden settings menu to enter the information needed for GPRS/CSD. These codes is mostly directed to T-Mobile Samsung phones as T-Mobile like to hide these menus from being accessed and changed by the user to prevent them from using it with another service provider. On other providers, these menus are accessable to the user and can be changed.
