Before we begin, lets get ready and have what you need on hand.
what you need is:
-VS3/VS2/VS6/VS7 Panasonic phone i believe that this hack should work on all VS series phone made by panasonic and can confirm that it definitely works on VS3,2 and 7
-A Data cable, this will not work with bluetooth or IRDA you NEED a datacable
-the following programs x60_phonetools
this program is use to communicate with the phone while its in TEST mode
now that you have all the tools you need lets begin

Start COM PORT TOOL KIT i find that this program doesn't load up when you connect your phone with the cable and try starting this program...so its best to just start it first before you do anything else so START this b.itch
================================================== =====
------------------------------------------------------------------
STEP 1. Switch your Phone to TESTMODE

--------------------------------------------------------------------
STEP 4. Run X60 Phone Tools program
----------------------------------------------------------------

-Click send file and have the following checked
"send raw data" & DATA TYPE in "string" "Transfer type Single" make sure you choose the 11.txt to send.
-now click SEND
in COM PORT TOOL KIT it has two windows, if send successfully it should.
the left window says "41 54 23 00 04 00 5C 10 01 00 01 0D" sent
the right window says "05 00 02 00 01 00" received
---------------------------------------------------------------------
STEP 8. YANK OUT THE BATTERY OF THE PHONE TO SHUT IT OFF
-----------------------------------------------------------------
-you heard me just yank out the battery because thats the only way to get out of TEST MODE. after that TURN ON you phone NORMALLY again.
CLOSE COM PORT TOOL KIT you won't need it anymore
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
STEP 9. Start USB_MobileAction and send your game
------------------------------------------------------------
-Again make sure USB MobileAction's settings has your phones COM number mines was COM17. so that it can connect with your phone
-Now if its connected successfuly click on the "FILE MANAGER" button
and click on the VIDEOS FOLDER choose your .JAR file and upload it to your phone...the file doesn't go to your Video folder it automatically goes into your game folder when you select it your phone will ask you to install it and then you can play
im just curious.
if the phonetool can access the vs3 correctly, why dont you use the EEPROM editor provided by phonetool, change the static mobile_virant[2] to 1, update the phone. that's all, no need the com port kit.
i acually didnt really understand step 4. i couldnt really find the things that were mentioned. i have the armarillo thing, but i dont know where to go after that.
it should run the phonetool, get the PT code (when starting the phonetool first time), then run the armarillo to generate the reg. info for the phonetool..
Hey guys I am able to upload the games to my VS3 however they size of it is too small? Is it because it is recognizing it as Panasonic X410? I follow the step from the tutorial... but when i did the x60tools the info comes up as the panasonic x410... any help?
thanks
Okay I done this but the only thing is the on step 4 it doesnt recognize my phone as VS3 or any of the futures it recognize it as something else... Am I doing this wrong? I followed the steps.. and in the end when i turn on the mobileaction it says its a Panasonic X400... So when I upload the games it turn out to be smaller than what its suppose to be... Is this suppose to happen...
thanks

Thanks for the tutorial....
what you need is the usb cable not the serial one, what you need to find is the number of the COM port. it's explained above

Hey man, thanks a lot for this. The problem I had was that I didn't use the USB_MobileAction that was provided in one of the links above. Instead, I used the software that came with the phone! Hope that helps some of you who are still having problems with this.
