I got the Motorola SMS Ringtone Generator 2.0
and I'm with Bell.
Tried lots of times to send the 'encoded' but the handset receive it and consider it always as a 'normal' textmessage.
Seems that a byte or a character (it's the same anyway) is missing.
Here's the result that I send true the SMS post text message dialog box on their websites:
L35&2 E2F2F#4A2F#2A2F#2F#2F2E2B2E2E4B2 &&20
That's it. Any explanations somewhere? Should I go to a particular sub-menu of the handset to make it work or what?
Tnx!

I don't think you can SMS ringtones to the 270C but if you refer to my previous posts in this thread you will learn how to manually enter the ringtones by pressing the keys on your phone.
Try the following keypress sequence. It the Simpsons theme.
The "11400" means press "1" twice, press "4" once, press "0" twice. Note that when you press "1" twice you get a "2" on your screen; when you press "4" one time you get a "G"; when you press "0" two times you get an "H".
To enter the complete ringtone enter the rest of the notes in the same manner. When you complete keying the ringtone above your screen will show the complete notes as: 2GhRqBqRq3C#qRq3EqDhRqBqRqGqRqEqC#qC#qC#qD
I was trying with SMS but of course if I use RTTTLL something it works just fine.
I'll try to forget SMS and I'll focus to enter some nasty ringtones instead...
Thanks anyway.

I know I am lazy, but does anyone know of a website where someone has translated songs into the keypresses? I'm trying to save time by not having to find the songs and then convert them to keypresses...
Any sites would be appreciated...right now all I have on my phone is the Simpsons and its getting a little boring!
Please don't flame me for being lazy, but I just figure why look for something when someone may have already done it...thanks guys!
Ok, so I've searched everywhere for this tone, as I want this on my motorola phone. The closest that I've found to ay type of ringtone is the following sequence:

I have "American Pie" by Don McLean on my V60t as my ringtone. I used to have it on my Nokia 8260 and missed it until I was able to enter in my Motorola. Very Cool!

What are the notes to American Pie? Please post them. If you don't have the actual keypresses then just post whatever shows up as the notes on your phone. The version I have sounds a bit weird. Thanks.
BTW, is anybody else going to post any ringtones???
