    Thanks for the reply.

Are you sure that loyalty minutes will ALWAYS (such a strong word) be used first. I have 2 friends both with loyalty minutes and both their loyalty minutes get used up after their anytime minutes is depleted.

As for my reason for wanting this... no particular reason. Would just prefer to have it at the end. Gives me a sense of safety even though i'm getting 1050 no matter what.

    Comp-USA Pearl offer....... Question.

I just picked up a pearl weds. As I'm assuming an upgrade. i paid $250 for the pearl(got the instant 100 off) to up my family plan(1 year)to a 2 year my faves family plan. Would I be able to return the pearl or go into the t-mo store with the add,and be able to get creditted the difference(Comp-Usa has the Pearl for 175 on the upgrade price). Or will they make me return the pearl, and then I go over to comp-usa and purchase the phone at their advertised price? Not looking to be a pain, but 75 dollars is a nice savings.

    trailoftears,

The corp store will not price match the upgrade price of comp usa. There is no doubt that you can return the phone to the corporate store. However, you would have to call comp usa to see if you can upgrade over there after you return the phone to the tmo corp store.
Anything I post here are my own opinions and views.

Everyone from the VP of Retail Sales Inza down said no price matching on the Pearl, regardless.

Got a good one....I have a line of service and have had it for about 3 or 4 yrs..I wanted to transfer responsibility to myself for my moms bill. How come after we called back into sales to get a phone they are saying that we are not eligible due to tenure? Her account is currently mth - to - mth and is very eligible for a new phone. Wouldn't we be eligible to sign a new contract under my name since im the responsible party and obtain a phone? Is there not an upgrade program for the 19.99 plan or must I move her plan to like 29.99 or higher in order to get a phone? Just a little clarification on this policy please. TIA

    Phone Upgrade(s) for loyal customer

I've been a T-Mobile customer in the Detroit area since December of 2001 when it was Voicestream. I initially signed a contract for two lines (one for me and one for my wife - now ex). At the time, we also paid the extra price to get two Nokia 8290 phones.

Approximately a year later, I went down to one line as I got a divorce. I kept the contract along with additional data plans and text mesage plans until December of 2005 (might have been '04 - can't remember), when I added another line for my girlfriend. At this time, I paid a large premium to get her the Sharp TM150 that she couldn't live without. My bills have ranged from $60 per month to $150 per month, always paid.

Since getting the TM150, we've had lots of problems. Specifically, batteries and chargers. Neither would last. T-Mobile discontinued the phone not long after it was released, and they won't even sell accessories for it. They tell us to do a google search and find an online merchant for chargers and batteries. Now we've had enough, and she wants a new phone. Specifically, an MDA.

I have NEVER upgraded my phone from the initial Nokia 8290. I've purchased unlocked GSM phones from other sources instead. These include a SE T68i, a SE K700i, and most recently an ETEN M600.

What I'm wondering is this: What will T-Mobile do for me on an MDA phone? I've never really tried to get an upgrade from T-Mobile for myself. I consider myself a good customer, and I don't want to change carriers at this point. I just want some recognition for my loyalty and for T-Mobile's failure to back the TM150.

If I should just call T-Mobile and start talking to them about this, let me know and we can all forget this post. Any advice is appreciated.

Well the MDA right now for an existing customer is $300 with a $50 mail in rebate to make $250. Pretty good price for all that phone does. If you call customer care or go into a store, that will be the price, as of right now.

When she took responsibility of the line it started her own tenure and eligablility. The upgrades go by how long you personally have been a customer with an account under your social. Not how long that number has been in service.

Ok here's one wich may be a deal breaker. I ran out today and bought a Dash. Nice phone. Works great. Well tonight I get to actually start looking at it. And notice 2 things,1,the my faves wasn't there, tech straightened it out,and now the my faves interface is on the phone. But here's one that I don't understand. I tried setting up my e-mail. Pop3 and aol. I have a blackberry internet plan as I have a Pearl. Well I now understand form the tech that I need to subscribe to a 15 internet plan to use my e-mail features? I'm alreay paying 20 for the blackberry plan, and if i put my sim into my SDA I get my e-mail there as well. Is this true,I will not be able to get e-mail of was teh tech misinformed? If thats the case I guess the Dash will go back, and I stick with my Pearl. Can someone verify this 15 dollar plan? as I looked and I don't even see it as an option in the my t-mobile site. tahnks guys!

Nevermind. lack of sleep and jumping the gun leads to irrational thinking. Nothing a lil sleep and apology can't fix.

I've searched with not many results on this specific problem, so I apologize if this is something that is asked often.

I am a T-Mobile customer with the t519 (Trace). I am going to be traveling overseas for thanksgiving and Christmas (London and Spain). From what I understand, I can't get a pay as you go sim card while there and pop it in my trace without getting it unlocked. I most definitely do not want to pay .99 cents a minute while there. I have heard however, that if you explain things like this to T-Mobile they will unlock your phone for you (this could be complete fiction however). Is this at all true, and if so, what do I need to ask/do to have this happen? Even a temporary unlock would be fine for the holidays while I travel.

Harassing calls from unknown number question

The last couple of days I've gotten about 6 calls from what sounds like a teenager. He never says anything threatening, he simply asks dumb questions like, 'Do you have the time because you're a retard.' I actually think it's kind of funny.

His number comes up unknown. Is there a way that Tmobile can get the number for me? I just want to find out who it is and report them to the authorities. Or does the fact that the number comes up unknown on my phone mean that Tmobile can't get it either?

    Thanks HoFoers.

if you have been with t-mo long enough they will give you the unlock code. call cs and ask if they will give it to you
