Setting up Fido WAP/E-mail/MMS on Sony Ericsson Handsets (SE Configurator Tutorial)

Im still waiting for the setting to be sent to my phone (unlocked w580i)..how long does it usually take? ive been wating for hours.....also what im trying to do is to set up my yahoo mail since fido its free to receive just the email headers (i dont have a data plan)......is there a tutorial where i can just manualy enter the settings instead of waiting for the text from se website??

Hey Guys,

Can i get some help with the SE Xperia X1 that i just got recently?

i tried to set up the APN and the settings to get my Fido internet settings to work, but I'm not having any luck.

For some reason it only wants to use Edge to connect and its very slow... how do i get it to contact to my 3G network? (I have a 6gb Data Plan btw)

Hi have the same issue with my new xperia. These settings should cover any connections though, I did not tried all yet :

General Internet Settings

APN : internet.fido.ca
User Name: fido
Password: fido
Dial-up Access: *99# (for Sony Ericsson handsets, use *99***CID#)

Tethering for Smartphones

APN: ISP.fido.apn

Domain Name System (DNS)

Primary: 204.92.15.211
Secondary: 204.92.15.212

General MMS Settings

APN: mms.fido.ca
IP address: 205.151.011.013
