Korean 5 MP Cam phone LG SV550

Check this out guys!! So far I have had it for a month now and I am very happy with the phone all around. I thought my 903 was unbeatable but when I got this I realized how awesome these korean phones are. This is my third korean phone now and looking at my list the previous models do not even compare. You can find a great review at MR on this phone. Below are pics I have taken through out the month. Enjoy guys and feel free to comment.

These pics are all taken at the highest res. and on auto focus.

those are very nice pictures! But I still think it is one of the ugliest phones I have ever seen. The keypad reminds me of phone booth buttons for some reason... they probably had some design help from ssangyong

There are some on Ebay. Do these work with Verizon? And if you're on Zerizon now how is the reception with this phone?

Here are some more random shots I took today. Definatly a little trigger happy lately. The Lambo pic was taken in very low lit room. That was from Vegas last week and the rest are from my day at the city. Enjoy...

hey Aldiggi, I have a few questions on this phone... depending on how good the new K800 is upon release I will be getting either that or the KG920 (GSM version of the LG you have) and I need to know some things about it.... i red through the review pages and theres some stuff that was left unanswered

java programs... i have a lot of java programs and games on myk750 right now and i want to make sure that this phone can work with them because there are some that i use on a daily basis.... have you encountered any problems with java applications? Im sure the games will run just fine if they can run fine on the k750....

torch light... is there any function that can provide the light as a flashlight for when you need it? I cant count the number of times ive used the k750 light function to find my way around at night or to look for somthing ive dropped beneath my desk etc....

media palyer? is there any sort of full screen video viewer on this thing? I also have a lot of cartoon shows i have encoded for my SE that i would love to have on the LG if i go with it...

thats all for now, hopefully you find time to respond! thanks in advance!

    Hope this can help:

    1. It does have java and as mentioned in the review the processor is as strong or if not stronger than some Smartphones or PDA's in the market today. Super Speedy....

    2. The torch light on this this is SUPER bright. I was surprised when I first tried it out. Almost 5 times brighter than my 903. Also the Flash is a real camera flash.

    3. It does have a media player but with the videos that I have the video does not keep up with the sound. The sound is crystal clear and normal but I guess I have to play around with the frame rate of the videos which is something I do not know what to do.

Hope this helps. Either 1 will be a good choice and If I had to pick between the 2 when and if they do come out in the GSM market anytime soon I would go for the LG

    ok couple more questions...

first, the current maximum capacity for mini-sd cards is 2gb... has this phone been tested with them yet? can it go that high?

second.. the videos... when you watch them, is it fullscreen landscape mode?

third... bluetooth.. the k750 has a "remote control" function that lets you control media player and the mouse on your desktop on your computer... does this have anything like that? or is there any possiblity of adding something like it?

fourth, how is the mp3 quality in playback?

    1. 1 gb max

    2. Videos are full screen landscape

    3. No bluetooth with my CDMA version but the GSM version will have it

    4. Mp3 playback is the best I have heard for a cell phone to date. You get some really good earphones with the phone too.

thanks man! ill jsut get a few more mini sd cards then!

one more for now if you dont mind...

is there any delay in activating the camera mode? like say i see something i really awnt to get a picture of... does openening the lens cover activate the camera mode pretty quick?

the only thing that bothers me is the fact that im used to the shutter button being on the opposite side as in the k750 leaving you able to grip the rest of the phone with your thumb as well.. with the lg its right over the screen area and you would have to place your thumb on the bottom edge for support in order to not cover the screen as you hold it.... as you look at the phone in normal mode, dont yo uthink the cam button should be on the lower right corner and not the top left? kinda wierd how they did that...
