    The Buddha

    250 peak min
    6pm - 8am EW
    CLID
    CF
    ULC 6months - April/06

FYI - ULC = Unlimited Local Calling, Evey six mo. I do a hardware upgrade, extend contract 3 years, negotiate a phone subsidy and another 6mo. ULC promo, thus my plan is Unlimited for the price listed below.

    $20 + 6.95 SAF + 0.50 911 = $27.45/mo.

man how do you do a hardware upgrade every 6 months on a 3 year term with a spending of about $30/month?

Have they ever called your bluff?

Just pay the early hup fee i suppose.
My question is, how do you hup for a 3yr contract, then negotiate for a plan when they know you just signed a contract?
I thought doing a hup prevented you from negotiating, thats why they do it.

They DO know I signed a contract. (every HUP is a new contractural obligation, 3 more yrs.)

The reason this is possible is Rogers ECF is max $200. If my phone is broken even 6 months into my contract and Rogers denies my HUP, it is cheaper for me to pay the $200 ECF penalty and cancel my account, then purchase the same model at the no contract price.

I use this fact as leverage. If Rogers believes I am willing to pay the $200, cancel my account and sign up with another carrier for a new 3yr. term for free phone and 6mo. unlimited they would rather make an "exception" and offer me another HUP on new 3yr. contact, and match the 6mo. ULC, rather then lose my business.

Have they called my bluff, certainely, however I am not bluffing. If it is more cost effective to jump ship, pay the $200 penalty and take a competitors offer I would.

ESPECIALLY when number Portability comes in Mar/07 (I will be asking for ULC and unlimited LD)

However I'm 100% sure that I get extended these "exceptions" because I really would cancel and the rep knows it.

For more details see my thread in this sectio: How to Negotiate with CR

Managed to get $50 bumped off a W600 as HUP on a 3yr

Did this for a friend. He was on a silly 200daytime plan., doing overages of +$100 in LD ALONE! (not to mention his other overages) lol-this was happening for 7months-I finally hooked him up.

average previous 6months ~180/month. He was on a $32.00 plan

    He's been a Customer for +2years.

What's the base price for this plan?
