well the 25 bonus minutes are from a use of an MSD code, which is for Corporate users. However, if you have an email from Rogers then you are entitled to it, if not this then something else. Call them up and see what happens. good luck.
thanks i'll call tomorrow
i do have a MSD code, but apparently it doesn't apply since my new plan is MaxAir 25?? I think that's what they called it...but this plan comes with caller id, right? i was confused about the explanation of my credits.
thanks again would you mind helping me decipher this part of my billing??? This is the email I got from rogers explaining the cost of my plan, below it (in blue) is how i thought my plan should work....can someone please explain how it doens't add up...even if the rogers rep didn't factor in my bundle discount, i'm not following his calculations. thank you SO much........
The plan includes 250 weekday minutes with unlimited
evenings and weekends from 6:00PM to 8:00AM. Unfortunately, there is no
corporate bonus 25 minutes available as this plan is a customer
relations plan and can not be offered in conjunction with employee
discounts. The monthly service fee is $25 plus the $6.95 system access
fee and $0.50 911. The plan itself also includes 2500 call forwarding
minutes, group calling, call waiting and detailed billing. The call
display feature is charged $5 monthly, but is also credited $5 by the
plan for the duration of the contract. The voicemail is not included in
the plan, but has been applied with a $5 charge monthly. Finally, the $3
text messaging plan has also been applied in addition to the plan,
including 2500 received messages and 30 outgoing messages.
We have also applied a $5 Rogers to Rogers offer which does include
unlimited airtime (but not long distance) with any other Rogers Wireless
line. Further, 100 Canadian Long Distance Minutes have also been
applied. Please note that both of these offers are only available with
the plan in question and not transferable to a different plan. The same
applies to the $15 monthly service fee discount that has been applied to
your account, $10 being for the plan and $5 toward the $3 text messaging
plan. Should you remove that text messaging service, it will be reduced
to $10 per month. Should you change the plan, the discount will be
removed altogether.
The addition of your plan and all services cumulates to a balance of
$26.70+tax or $30.44 monthly.
My calculations are as follows:
$25plan + $3 text msg + $5 voicemail = $33 (these are the only fees i have, i was told rogers2rogers is free for me)
$33 + system access ($6.95) + 911 ($0.50) = $40.45
$15 credit each month = 40.45 - 15 = $25.45
bundle discount of 15% ($3.82) = $21.63
14% tax ($3.03) = $ 24.66 INCLUDING tax
i'm not sure if he meant they're charging me $5 for rogers2rogers...even if this was the case, i don't arrive at the same number...any help would be much appreciated!!!
Lol Kingkhan....looks like you're the new heavyweight in this thread. Maybe I'll get another gust of wind if I see you advancing too far ahead .
The whole point of the bonus is IRRELEVANT to the plan you have (isn't it?)...IT'S A BONUS because you have a certain profile . That's why for corp accounts the 700 min plan gets a 50min bonus and exact pricing. Unfortunately evidently some reps just don't get it. Call back, and you should get a rep who'll help you out EDIT: Good Lord., cbcb., that's some manifesto you've posted at 12:30am. I'm too tired to respond now . Tomorrow
CRAP. Okay I did it
R2R isn't free for you buddy.
25+5(cid)+5(r2r)+3(txt)=38+6.95+.5=45.45-15=30.45-(bundle discount which YOU SHOULDN'T BE getting as corp account lol -15%)$4.57=$25.88+taxes=$29.76final cost (huh? Shouldn't it be 30.45??? lol bleh., it's too late to argue with the calculator. If you deduct the 15 and 15% discount BEFORE adding SAF+911 you get something like $27 & $31.05 final cost.

lol..thanks so much...again,i have an email confirming my R2R is free...and i have the initial cxr's name and id # who offered it to me...should i ask to get connected to relations to fix these problems or will a cxs eventaully give me right info
$25plan + $3 text msg + $5 voicemail = $33 (these are the only fees i have, i was told rogers2rogers is free for me)
$33 + system access ($6.95) + 911 ($0.50) = $40.45

ok lets do this exactly the way that he states it here
This is what i got.. $25 (plan) + 6.95 + 0.50 + 5.00 (call display) + 5.00 (voicemail) + 3.00 (xt msg) + 5.00 (R2R) = $50.45
Now, if you subtract the discounts... $50.45 - 5 (call display credit) - 15 (10 for plan, 5 for $3 txt msg) = $30.45
Now, if you subtract the 15% bundle pack discount and add tax at 14%...
i know rogers doesn't owe me anything, but i initially got to relations via *611 with the actual intent of cancelling and not getting a better deal...but they wouldn't let me cancel and i got what i thought was an amazing plan ...
i've had problems in the past with rogers messing up my billing, and for the past 6 months i've had to call customer service to fix the mistakes....this problem that i now have is bringing back those bad memories of my love-hate relationship with rogers! lol...idunno if i'm allowed to ask this here, but is it possible to speak to someone higher up than cxr, so that my issues can FINALLY be resolved? can someone please pm me, if this kind of discussion is not allowed.
lol Rogers didnt let you cancel... lol sorry just found that funny.
ya anyway lets do the math
25+5 (cd) + 3 (txt) + 5(r2) = $38.00
$15 credit= 38-15= 23.00
23+6.95+0.50= 30.45
15% discount= 30.45/1.15= 26.48
26.48 + tax = 26.48*1.15(I thought 6% Gst kicks in July, if I am wrong then it should be *1.14 assuming you are in Ontario)= $30.45.. so that should be your monthly bill.
PS. Obviously Rounding the numbers would make changes to the final number, so Rogers Calculation seems right.
i called customer service and they fixed the rogers 2 rogers to make it free AGAIN (he told me somewhere along the line a mistake was made/something changed ...all i had to do was tell him the agent and the # of the rep who initially gave me the offer!)
the agent told me that he can't confirm the bonus minutes and I'd have to wait for my plan to take effect to see if it will be applied...and if it doesn't get applied, all i have to do is call in to have it fixed ...but since you guys are saying it's independent of my plan, i hope/believe it will be credited automatically!
the figure he came up with ALMOST matches my total...i'll take it! lol...
again, thanks for all of your help i really hope i get my bonus minutes because i used to be on a 200 minute plan and would go over by 50-70 minutes each month :S
i have one last question ...does my msd code entitle me to per second billing after the first minute?? I know i'm tier AA, if that helps/means anything...
lol dude you and your questions, i feel like a teacher now. To answer your question ofcourse there are msd codes that let you have per second billing, however I am not too sure about after the first minute psb.
