as for negotiable, just dont ask for too much all at once...ill probably wait a month or 2 and try to get a better price plan. but i want to keep the features i have, if i have it set up any different i go over and pay crazy long distance.

Can anyone answer my question, please? I saw a lot of people getting crazy deals (it's WAY too gud to believe, really). If they call back to renew contract/get a HUP for example (not to get a better plan cuz theirs are already gud) & another rep see their unbelievable plans, is he/she gonna make any changes to it (like switch it back to regular plans) without the account holder's consent?

I had a friend who happens to have a really awesome plan. He wants to call retention for a HUP but is afraid if they see too many credits on his accounts he might risk losing them. However, he needs a phone so badly but still wanna keep his plan.

Any ideas? Thanks you all of u on his behalf ^^

This makes sense. I called only once, and I asked for a little bit more than I expected to get so that the rep could actually negotiate and give me what I actually want.

I don't think they would do any changes without letting you know. But I might be wrong. If they can do it, then your friend should consider what does he really want? Pay a higher price for the phone on eBay or any other place and keep his awesome plan, or give it a shot and call Rogers. Btw, what's his plan?

Thumbs up His new plan is

    750 mins daytime (350+350+50mins)
    EW @ 6pm
    Network Calling
    communication pack
    1100 LD (yes, 1000+100)
    unlimited incoming for 6 months
unlimited text & talk for 3 months

    Nokia 5300 free

    $17.xx/month (with $50 credit)

SHOCK. Even the rep said it's the most unique plan she's ever seen during her service with Rogers

For me, somehow my monthly plan credit was bumped to $30 instead of $20. & yes, towards my $20 base plan Isn't it amazing?

I dont even think you can get 100LD on top of the 1000LD..plus what is his communication pack? $20 or the $10 one?

Plan sounds unrealistic, scanned copy of bill would prove me wrong though! If he just got that plan, wait till he gets the bill and see how messed up it is! (its happened to me before with only $30 credit..)

What if Rogers track him down? I could ask him but I don't think he wants his plan taken away
He basically has the $10 one (VM, CID, 125 txt) cuz he doesn't text a lot. He also mentioned that the rep were kind enough to give him extra $2 credit to offset the $1 increase in price, and he actually pays $1 less. Moreover, she added discounts to cover SAF & 911 too
    How awesome she is?

If they mess up the bill they'll have to compensate more and the lucky ******* just gets happier, I think. Can't believe that guy has over $50 credit.

He said b4 he called her, his balance on Rogers.com is $50.4 but later it's reversed to $6.1 CREDIT (God knows what happens). He already confirms that Rogers now owes him money OMG, can't believe it.

still sounds like the 1/2 MSF for three months after than MSF goes back up to $40 + $7 6pm eve/wk. $50 credit.. still fishy

yea I doubt the CDN LD option and 100 mins overlap like that.

A $30 monthly plan credit will still only net you $20 against a base plan of $20. You will only receive a credit of $30 if your baseplan costs $30 or more.

Just negotiated a new plan for my brother.

    Old plan:
    150 anytime minutes
    1000 e/w starting at 6pm
    unlimited network calling
    unlimited incoming - $10 extra
    $20 communicate pack
    Price: $32-($20 credit) + $10 + $20 + SAF/911 + taxes = $55.88

    New plan:
    250 anytime minutes
    unlimited e/w starting at 5pm
    unlimited incoming
    unlimited network calling
    $20 communicate value pack
    100 CAD LD minutes
    Price: $44 - ($20 credit) + $20 + SAF/911 + taxes = $58.14

The question is...I read somewhere here that it wasn't possible to get unlimited network calling with a 250 minute plan. It might have been BBT. I've actually called to confirm a second time (approx. 30 minutes after I got off the phone with retentions) and the rep actually rhymed off the plan again to me and I was told 250 minutes. Fact or fiction....hmmm....
