Well done for a phone that small as long as you don't need a speakerphone. Ciao!
I just don't understand why they didn't include a speakerphone function, the speaker is capable, it plays mp3s very loud. Maybe the mic won't handle the gain necessary.

Hey guys- looks like the VK2010 is finally out! See this ebay auction: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...tem=9119918414

I didn't know it would be available in pink & black in addition to white! I actually think the pink is cutest, but being a guy, I'd never be able to get away with it. I notice the Ebay listing shows the memory at 128MB. The same seller accurately listed the VK2020 in another auction listing at 96MB, so those memory numbers are probably accurate, which means while neither phone has the reported 1GB, the VK2010 does have a bit more memory that the VK2020, and the 2010 is essentially identical in size to the original VK2000. I wonder what the actual market price of the VK2010 is, as there is no way to tell from an auction? I was going to just pick up a VK2000 for $140 + shipping ($176 total) from wapzon, but like the design of the 2010 better. Still, if the only real difference is the limited MP3 capacity, then it might not be worth it if there is a big price difference.

Judging by jehinger's responses in the VK2020 thread (http://howardforums.com/showthread.p...4#post6945054), I would conclude that, in addition to some extra features, the newer models fix technical shortcomings of the VK2000 (earpiece heating, battery life, etc).

I can tell u this... I was very impress with the vk2000. BUT it has it flaws and one of it being the 850 band. I notice it isnt as strong as the likes of Nokia and Motorola. I was not ABLE to make calls where i usually am able to. HOWEVER, the 1900 mhz band is SUPER DUPER strong. I know its quad band but if you are using t-mobile this is the phone for you.

vk2000 battery life isnt bad at all, but the screen is something i wish was a lil better.

But why is that the VK site said : 128x56 mb + 512 (or 1gig)?

does that mean there is a possiblity that there is an upgrade option?

See the VK2020 thread, VK is calling it 1 gigabit (8 bits=1 byte) so it is therefore only 128mb. Shady and misleading if you ask me, but whatchyagonnado.

Battery life is better on the vk2020 but I can't speak for the 850mhz band as I use t-mobile.

Well, I took the plunge and ordered a white VK2010 from the Ebay guy from Portugal. I emailed him and he agreed to directly sell me the phone with shipping to the USA for $210 total which saves a bit from the Ebay amount, and ends up being only $33 more than the VK2000 would have been from wapzon with shipping. Hopefully VK have solved some of the VK2000's issues. I'll report back once I get the phone. The seller emailed me within an hour of payment to tell me the phone was going out, plus he has 100% positive feedback on Ebay, so I feel pretty good about it. If any of you are wanting the phone, you might want to try emailing the guy and seeing if you can get the same deal.

I bough one this week through ebay too from france. Paid 200 euros inc shipping. It's an awesome machine. I love it ! I like the interface too, it's really great. I can confirm that it has 128 MB on it, there was something like 100 MB free default.
