How much is a sim card at radio shack?

I am going to need to pick up a new sim card, to replace one I lost today--normally i would get them at a company store for free, but need one tomorrow. Radio shack is 2 miles, corporate store is an hour away.

    Just curious what to expect.

If a sim has been used for a different phone number, which has been deactivated, it can't be re used, right?

    correct.

once a SIM card is activated once, it cannot be re-activated again.

About 10 bucks on ebay. Radio shack might not sell you one without activation, if they do I'll bet its around $25.00......A corp store might exchange one for free if you can find a nice CS person....

What does your answer have to do with my original question?

I activated a new line , my own equipment,on an extra sim, put the sim in an envelope (they are so small) and promptly mis placed it--it will turn up; not fishy, just careless; you know like being courteous/ not rude.

And I got a replacement one at corporate store for nothing, as usual.

the other posts were accurate, radio shack wanted $25, local agent store wanted 9.95

As I posted, earlier, went to a different corporate store than I normally use, gave me a replacment for the misplaced card, but the clerk, who I had never met before was not as cooperative as the folks at the other store, but I had bought several lines there in the past from the same couple of c/s's--

Guess one can't blame the agent store from adding the "handling charge"

One of the questions is one of my business classes several years ago (before the age of selling bottled water for 10000 times cost) there was the question of how much it would cost to market, and etc to market a product with no mfg cost, ie the water above, or perhaps a sim card---there is a handling cost associated with everthing --$25 seems a bit exaggerated!--which might give one an indication of the true profit with other items sold there, HUM.

    Wirelessly posted (HTC-8100/1.2 Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows CE; PPC; 240x320) UP.Link/6.3.0.0.0)

$25 is the standard fee, but depending on the reprentative it can be free. Call customer service and ask if you can get a credit for the sim purchase. Its very likely that they will do it, of course sell your cause.

You mention you "somehow lost" your sim card, that one fact is hard to believed then you ask if the SIM CARD has been activated, can it be reactived again, that's raised a second red flag.

You mention "you know like being courteous/ not rude" How amusing, it's ONLY BUSINESSE FIRST, NOT PERSONNAL.

I got mine for free at a cingular store when I lost my phone. The sale person said something they don't know or have the sku number on it. something like that. try going to a cingular store and tell them u lost your phone and see if they will do the same for you.
