Depends on the lighting.. in poor lighting it shows there is some noise and blur, but when you actually take the pic the images shown back to you in the viewfinder is much better. it' almost as if the viewfinder pic is just a rough idea

treatz- One more question. Does the noise on the cam bother you at all? Because the noise on the K600i is really bad (even if the lighting was decent to good). I then sold it the day after it came because of this reason. I really dont want to buy a phone and have to sell it back again. Thanks for you input on my last question.

I suggest you try and see a live W600 and decide for yourself...
the Camera on the W600 is decent, but it's not gonna take out a W800/W810 or 6270 cam, for example

Well my friend went to Cingular yesterday and he said they didn't have the w600i on display anymore but they still do sell them. I might try to go myself and see again if they have it. If not Im not sure if I should get the phone. As I said the only thing holding me back is the CAM on the phone. Other wise the phone basically perfect for me. Thanks for answering all my questions by the way. Appreciate it.

Great writeup Treatz. This phone has been rock solid for me since I started using it just over a month and a half. RF is superb, and battery life is really good.

I'm still waiting on the 6682...although the W600 sure is impressive.

    Good review once again.

If you are using the camera in decent lighting, the noise wont be unbearable. The only time you really see it in somewhat light conditions is if you are looking at something dark (black coloured) - you can see the noise on dark colours.

But if your talking about something really low light, like a club, this camera is useless and you get almost pure noise - I can barely see what things are in the picture, even at full size on my computer.

    Nice thorough review treatz.

If only the w600 had expandable or more internal memory.

This may turn some off, as some like that comfort noise hiss. Myself, I'm a big fan of the W600's incoming sound qualities.

Incoming sound quality is quite poor. It's fuzzy sounding and is also really muddy sounding like the person on the other end has a stuffed up nose and there is a bit of hiss. Outgoing sound quality is okay, nothing to complain about here. Maximum earpiece volume is acceptable.
But your review, and others I have read seem to give the thumbs up to the sound quality... or did you just mean the headset/bluetooth incoming sound? In other words, what do you think of the incoming sound quality from the earpiece?

Just picked up this baby yesterday, and I am MORE than pleased so far.

The size is bearable, but its still more than enough for me, i can stick on 3-4 cd's worth and that'll last me a good 3-4 days at a time. No problem there. PLUS i get radio and awesome radio reception so i can always pop that on.

Played around with the games, and java programs, downloaded a few, tested out a bunch, everything seems quite dandy. Im quite content

Although I do have a question for yaz. I notice this when using the phone as a phone and a stereo, but the front speaker (ear piece) is considerably less...loud than the back one, even the side one at that. When im on the phone the quality is amazing, but can the volume go any louder?

Other then that, i think i made an amazing purchase, and will love it for the next 24 months and then i will upgrade... Woopy

As far as I know, music doesn't even play through the front speaker. It only plays through the side and back speakers....which makes sense since the phone will most likely be resting on a flat surface (the front) and one of the flat sides will have to be blocked by the surface anyways.
