    Tri-band GSM/ EDGE Phone with Bluetooth 1.2
    9.8mm SLIM

Just for comparison, the SLVR is 11.43mm SLIM. The SGH-Z150 is the thinnest 3G handset worldwide (it carries UTMS).

this phone was co-developed by samsung and t-mobile product development. it will face user trials, customer comments, beta testing, etc. t-mobile *might* actually launch this, however many phones make it to the testing phase and are never finalized to be picked up for many reasons. some of these reasons are poor feedback from test customers or focus groups, poor performance, etc.

phone models from samsung in the following formats: t309, t209, t809, t509, t709, t719.... (TXX9) they are all gsm phones built by samsung for t-mobile and many have been influenced by t-mobile themselves. therefore the t509 will not be a cingular phone.

however--- the t509 might have a _variant_ and be close to another model like a p837 (i just made that up) that Cingular might get too....maybe.

Too bad they don't make an 850 MHz version of the P300. That is the phone I would like to see. 8.9mm thick, bluetooth, 220x176 262k screen, 1.3 megapixels with flash, MP3 player, 80 MB internal memory, and the size of a credit card.

You should bring one here to sell.
CDMA - a great technology, hobbled by greedy carriers and a closed business model. Its a pity, really.
