i got my flash cable from ebay, and it came with a cd with the usb drivers and some software for flashing. however, the onenand was the 1.4 old version...so i downloaded the new 1.7 from the net. see one of the other threads about the onenand downloader.

when u plug in your cable for the first time, it will ask u to install the drivers twice...do it then restart pc. then u need to go to my computer/properties/device manager and click on ports. what i did next (dont know if correct way, but worked) is change the port setting to 4 for communications port (com 1), then change the cable port to 1. then reboot again. that should be it.

How do you make all of these changes? Is there an application(s) that allows u to edit existing cla files? Do you do everything in a hex editor?

theres a program called resman but its in russian so u have to use a translator if u cant read russian
u can find the program from the samsung-stuff forum

if ur using my firmware and just want to add some tones to the phone
u can also use resman and put it into the phone without going thru another firmware update

i can read russian however i guess i dont have the proper fonts installed cause that program opens up with garbage text. when you open the program, it asks for the firmware version, which one do you select?

The reason why the text is garbled is that you need to set your system language to russian! In the download there are some screen shots, maybe comeone could provide translations on these pics for others?

right now only D600XEEK2 and D600XEFC1 can be modded

the screenshot looks exactly like onenand downloader, just the names different
so im guessing its the same program with either a different name or an old version of onenand downloader


edit: actually.. its corona downloader.. its an older version
u can use the steps on there but use onenand downloader v1.7 or 1.5

see, that rxt was the one i was using but some of the pictures and none of the sounds come up with that one? also, in case this is of interest to anyone, i found this site http://patches.sgh.ru/patches.php?cat=D600XEFC1 . there are a lot of good patches there, im going thru them now, its real easy to add them to Resman. ordered my cable today so hopefully ill be able to flash soon.

one question/prob.

when you say caller ID picture is now bigger. what exactly is the new size?

I get very different results

1. when i had J1 fw . (very small, default size)
2. when i upgraded to C1 fw stock. (big size, fills half of the screen)
3. after I flashed to your c1 mod. (same as above, but for someone, I get the very small size caller ID.)

I thought mod allowed full screen (320x240) caller ID pic.. is it true? or am I doing something wrong

im guessing ur using resman 4.01 or something
goto javer.sgh.ru and download 4.2 or higher
u should see all images and stuff
