Don't know if it had anything to do with it, but our office has 6 phones with T-Mobile and 5 of them are out of contract so maybe that's why he was so accommodating. That and the fact that I used to be a CSR for a cable company so I knew it wasn't his fault personally and I didn't get too upset. Just sighed real loud.

Everyone has been really nice the 2 times I have called about this and I never I mad at them. I worked for GTE Wireless in Customer Service/Technical Support for years, so I have been on the other end of the stick.
I just wish they could give me more information, instead of "someone will call you". I think it is kind of funny because I was seriously thinking about switching to Sprint (for EVDO), but saw the MDA was out and decided to give it a try. I am questioning if I made the right choice now... Oh well, I guess I will just wait for someone to call me.
Same thing has happened to me. I ordered the MDA from "My T-Mobile" on Thursday the 9th and I received an SDA today. When I called customer service, they told me that someone would be calling me in the next couple of days about the phone. Now, it sounds like some people have been told that their replacement MDA has already been shipped and that we will just return the SDA after receiving the MDA. That wasn't the impression I got when I spoke with customer service. I hope they have already shipped them out and I get it in the next day or two because I am going on a trip and I'd really like to take my new MDA along with me!
I ordered my phone on Saturday with express shipping and when I called today they said that it was backordered as of yesterday, but mine should have been shipped already and now they say I wont get it until possibly next week, grrrr.
i order my phone last week thursday night and it came monday at noon... and open up the package to reveal the same thing as u guys did.. a freakin SDA, i stopped playin XBox to go get the freakin box and its not even the phone i ordered... anywho i called and they said the same, that it was a mistake and that i would be contacted sometime this week, 1 thing the rep did tell me, was that they r doin it in alphabetical order and that u could use the SDA in the mean time
its not that bad..... but im only comparing to 3650 which is the only other smartphone i had... i havent really done anything to it though since its not permenant

Well I called them again tonite. .. I realy expressed how unhappy I was with the situation (in a controlled professional manner)... And eluded to possibly leaving tmobile and getting the device with cingular for a "better price and better service". I was transfered to 3 different people. The last of which I thought had some kinda athourity to deal... Well no dice
I was informed that the people that would be contacting me are the people who have the athourity to deal and I should strongly express my feelings to them... All in all by next monday im gonna have a Mda or similiar device in my hand. Either From tmobile. Or Cingular (which offered me a very attractive offer to switch from T-mo)..
If its truly Alphabetical order then ill be last for the call... And im not touching the Sda. That's a setup so they won't take it back... Its staying sealed right in its box (tho I am tempted)

listen i signed a contract for a year for the MDA... the rep and i repeatedly expressed that it was for the MDA and everyone i have spoken to since i have gotten the SDA said that i did order the MDA so its not a set up.. i'll murder everyone at tmo if they try to make me stay wit this phone
Well my last name starts with a "B" and I got no call Monday nor Tuesday. If I do not get a call by noon today, I will call them up again. I know mistakes happen and I understand that they do, but what upsets me is no one is giving us any information! Just "someone will call you". All I want is the phone I ordered!
The seal on the SDA I got was broken, so I did look at the phone. I am assumming the sea was broken so they could take out the SIM card, which they have done this before through upgrades.
Same here..recieved SDA...seal broken...no love from tmo...can't tell me when I'll get a call.
The least I can do is enjoy the SDA in the meantime so that's exactly what I'm doing. My last smartphone was a 3650 as well so I'm enjoying playing with it.
These phones are so disposable to TMO. THe fact that they can take back 800 SDAs and throw them into the 'refurb' bin goes to show just how little these things truly cost them.
I'd love to know TMOs exact cost on both the MDA & SDA. You wanna bet its well under $100 either way? Reminds me of Blockbuster..those jokers probably pay $5 apiece in bulk for those DVDs & make up their costs on ONE rental.
Same thing here. Ordered last Thurs. Package arrived at 5:30 Tues. Opened box expecting MDA and found a SDA. Called customer care and was told they would be contacting me. No call as of yet.
