I just replaced my case on my TM150, since it was heavily damaged from being stepped on. Before the transfer the phone worked almost perfectly, occasionally shutting off once a week or so.
I bought a new case off of eBay, and transferred the phone to the new one. Now when I turn my phone on it says "Insert SIM Card" even though it is in the phone, and in correctly. I've tried taking out, and putting it back in. I noticed the underside is sort of scratched from the contacts.
I touched my computers chasis before I started working, and sat in a chair the whole time, theres not a chance that I killed anything with static is there?
And is there anything I could try like a new SIM card from T-Mobile, or putting mine in another phone, without them knowing I took this one apart? Right now I don't have another phone so I can't really try putting my SIM card in another phone of mine.
It's obvious that its been worked on since the screws are a phillips head screw instead of star shaped torx, the absence of this metal plate on the part covering the SD slot, and the sticker over that metal plate, so I don't know if they will do anything with it or not.
