Thumbs up Opera Mini Hacked Vesrion - Check it out and post your findings and thoughts

I thought this was worthy of its own thread. You can get the hacked version of Opera Mini which does a lot more things

    http://www.esato.com/board/viewtopic.php?topic=116808

I have a few questions though:

Has anyone figured out how to rotate the screen on a w600i on the hacked version of Opera Mini (118)? #6 doesnt seem to do anything. You can change it in the settings, but how do you rapidly switch back and forth?

Also how do you get rid of the bookmarks and links that come with the hacked version? Looks like a bunch of Russian Symbols and such

to quickly rotate screen press #6. You can also save the page you are on to view offline in the ext>pages menu. make sure no links are highlit when you try it. You load it in the same place.

i just downloaded this.. seems pretty cool. it looks like they took away the quick rotate shortcut. you have to do it through the settings.. I'm just leaving it as landscape anyway.

i haven't found a way to get rid of those bookmarks..

looks like a work in process.. i'm a fan!

LANSCAPE MODE ROCKS!!! Wow I wish i knew about this version earlier! For some reason I enjoy using my phone in landscape mode on the train, people give me looks and wonder what's up.

I wish they hadn't changed the small font. I like the one in the official version better, but all the other added features of the hacked version are excellent.

Yeah.. Had this for awhile. Its really great. Landscape mode is really enjoyable.

I wouldn't really say its BETTER then the original. It has more features but the one that I use the most is the landscape browsing feature. Sometimes landscape is nice, but other times I do vertical so I can pictures in true size.

I have as well as a lot of people.

You need to go into your Java settings and configure java to work with your cell phone compay's interent setting. In the case of Cingular its the "mmode" setting.

m-Mode? Isn't that for previous AT&T customers only? I thought Cingular's is called Cingular Express.

My bad, you are right, I am on the former AT&T thing.

When is Cingular going to merge all that crap? Seems so ridiculous
