Try another store. I just walked in and asked for it and showed them the software # on a piece of note paper. They were suprised I knew about it. Thanks to HOFO.
I had to stand in line longer than it took to update my phone.

I turn off the phone...take out the battery and let it sit. Boot it back up. Connect it to my computer. Go into the phone, and hit discover services and this is all i get....

I've tried it a bunch of times, pairing and unpairing, changing the name of my phone... but there must still be something wrong..Anyone have any suggestions???
FWIW, MPT works fine with no seem edit in the .04 version of the firmware (which I got today). My experience also comports with that of other users who have posted here with respect to the other "issue" fixes; with the lone exception of the guy who said he had to change his MPT settings back from V3CM to V3C. I tried that and it took away MMS, so I went back to V3CM and everything works just fine.

P.S. I jumped straight from .02; never had .03 because of the MPT issue (and not wanting to actually "hack" my phone via seem edit).
P.P.S. Thanks all for staying on top of all of this. HoFo is a great place -- even if inhabited by the occasional a-hole.
P.P.P.S. If MPT and OBEX both work "out of the box", and the other little annoyances are by and large fixed, could it possibly be that we have a firmware update that actually CORRECTS problems WITHOUT a catch? Who are you and what have you done with Verizon Wireless?!

you know what, the guy that cant get OBEX working, did you upgrade from v.03 or v.04? Maybe it doesnt ADD OBEX back, but doesnt TOUCH OBEX either

Well I finally found someone that knew what they were talking about...
The update has not reached Houston yet for all those who are curious

Now I don't know about the other theory about flashing from 02 to 04 is the reason obex is present in 04. because if that is the case, then flashing from 02 to 03 should make 03 contain obex also. I think jstene upgraded from 02 to 04, but I don't think the obex is a leftover from 02.
^ wait what? I have .03 if I get the upgrade to .04 my phone will not have OBEX?

Is it possible that the dongle I have/my computer does not support OBEX for some reason or is that absurd?
Is there a difference with 0.1.15.04P and what my s/w version is on the phone. GATW_01.15.04 There is no "P"? does that make a difference?
If you have the .04 firmware, please "test" distinctive ring (or ringer ID or whatever they call it) and Photo Caller ID.
I got my phone flashed to .04 today. Everything works great (as advertised on HoFo), EXCEPT distinctive ring and photo caller ID DO NOT WORK. The contact shows that a picture and a ringtone is assigned to it; and the Master Volume Detail has Ringer ID set to "on". I have tried just about everything I can think of (from re-setting the Ringer ID from on to off and back to on with power cycles in between; and re-setting the image and ringtone for the contact with power cycles in between (I did it both ways -- from the photo/ringtone and from the contact). I cannot get it to work. The contact shows Photo X and Ringtone Y is assigned to it, but it doesn't work when a call is received from that contact (I've also tried calling from several numbers in that contact).
Anybody else having this problem?
Thanks
