Thank you. I don't mind redoing my seem edits. I just wish there was an easy way to back up PIX messages or at least the text portion of a PIX message via MPT or other software.Originally Posted by Caice7134

I did not lose any stored text messages or saved pix/flix when I flashed to .04P myself. Also I had no issues with my contacts, although it's a good idea to back them up just in case. I did have to redo some seem edits, however that's not a big deal.Originally Posted by rf22

So i went into Verizon and they won't do the update because myphone has water damage (WHAT!?) That was my response. Who knows where it might have happened, probably a wet bar or something like that? So i guess i'll just have to do it at home. What sucks is that the phone works fine but the CSR said eventually the phone will corrode on the inside and fail and even if i was to get insurance it wouldn't cover the water damage. Hopefully it'll last two years so i can get a free one eventually.Originally Posted by areofilm

Thank you for all of your help but once I changed over to the v3cm I cant get anything to work. With v3c atleast I can access the phonebook. Maybe I am missing something. I have version "Motorola CE, Copyright 2000" - V3c Rev2 (GATW_01.15.04) and Motorola Phone Tools - 4.0.4b 12-01-2005 and all I keep getting is unable to comunicate with the mobil phone.
And I dont mean to sound dumb but what is Oy! V3c and MPT Issues thread
Is their a search function to make it easier to find things rather than reading through thousands of logs?
This thread is 90 pages long, and has 1338 posts. Is there somewhere that has a condensed list of everything that version .04 does? Sorry for the newb question i just cant see spending all night reading 90 pages...
When I was at Verizon getting mine updated, the same thing happened to the guy in front of me. The tech declared his phone water damaged because the data/recharge connector on the bottom was corroded. The tech then typed something into his computer; I assuming noting this poor guy's account about the water damaged phone.Originally Posted by areofilm

So, apparently dampness, humidity, sweat, ocean breeze, etc, are enough to cause it to happen. At least in Verizon's opinion.![]()
I updated to .04p yesterday, and everything is working beautifully, except my bluetooth headset (akono hbh-608) won't connect. I had problems getting it to connect initially to my original .02 razr, but this one seems to be more stubborn.
Bluetooth is working. I've done multiple OBEX transfers with my computer. And the headset is fine.
Suggestions?

We never had any issues with them and never exposed them to any water, they determine it by looking at the little red dot usually under the battery, its white if there isnt any.
Like you said, apparently even humidity will cause it. BS!
I just went to the local VZW stores yesterday and they said there is NO upgrade to this firmware and they go buy there sheets from corporate.
This little dot inside the battery cover is a little freaky, guess there doing anything and everything to make there customers unhappy.
Gee and I just signed up with them on Monday the 5th, hmmmmmmmmmmm well its only a 1 year contract.
So, IF the water damage test is the 'white dot' turning red, why not just get some type of white sticky-back paper and replace it. Bet THAT doesn't turn red...![]()
Bluetooth. . . . . Verizon Wireless
. . . . . BT on VW
So i flashed to .04p last night. Then I tried to pull seems off the phone to change the orange background and nothing. I did it before on .02 to remove the Verizon Wireless banner from the front so i know it worked. But even when i tried to pull that seem off i got nothing. Anyone, anywhere, any help? TIA
This seem will remove the orange background and replace it with a slightly squished version of your wallpaper (though another thread is working on fixing that)
95 bytes, seem 2742, record 1, offset 94, turn bit 7 off
Does anyone have any help to give on my bluetooth headset pairing issue?
Running .04p w/ an akono hbh-600 headset. Used to work with my old .02, but can't get it to find the headset now. Pls help! Drive stick shift, need handsfree!

Try deleting all your bluetooth pairings and devices from before you flashed. My wife had a Moto H500 paired prior to the flash and after it would not pair. If you already cleared all devices from the phone then I don't know what to tell you.
I wonder how far the mods are going to let this thread go considering how VERY off topic it has gone 99% of the time. Heck we asked that it be closed in this thread over 50 pages ago after it ran it's course and end it with a summation page, that never happened. It's just about time again to get this thread over with, there's far too many topics going on in this thread that have nothing to do with the main topic which in the end means folks who post off topic are missing out on feedback and other topics are never seen by alot of the posters who do not look in this long arse thread.
