    PDA to normal phone...hard transition

    okay....I just picked up a w900
    Previous to that I had a p910i...

I loved that p910 to death...suped it up really good with apps and all this crazy stuff....now I really loved the symbian UI and I feel Ive grown accustom to it...remember before that I had a p800...

Now that I switched back to normal phones like the w900 (not that its "normal") but I've had a tough transition....

Ive havent had the w900 for that long, so I dont know what the limits of this baby can do but hopefully I could see myself growing to love it.

oh how i sure do miss my p910...the w900 is nice but i need some convincing..

anyone had this tough transition before.....my friends keep tellin me that they would never thought Id stray away from PDA phones...

    in time...in time...I guess

not really a hard transition if you sort out your needs really.

i started off my phone frenzy with the moto E398, used it for about 1-2 months, i wanted more so i went to the E680. I got pissed coz Linux just sucks *** so I sold it -- at that time i knew the phone was too much for me already. Then i switched to the imate jam which i used for about 1 yr and didnt get a chance to utilize its features except for the mp3/video...then from january-march this yr it was nothing but a $500 alarm clock coz i wasnt using the phone much.

...so with the money I got from selling my Jam i bought an Ipod video for extremely cheap. I realized i didnt need all of that bells and whistle, i needed something that i can utilize its use - you have to realize that. I got an old siemens M55 now and i dont give a Shhh about what people tell me about it.

weigh your needs and wants really. be practical.

Wow you phone history is like mine: E/// T39m (T68's little bro), SET610, SEP900, SEP910 then SEK750 and now the SEW810.

When I chase my daughter down at the playground the P9xx just got really heavy so I decided I'll forgo the smartphones for a few years and get back later. I miss everything about the P910 though -- I read novels on that baby, surfed the net, edited documents and presentations, email I mean it was a 'desktop replacement' replacement.

I'm happy with the small phones now and the K750 and now W810 mean now that I actually do not carry my digicam with me anymore as these phones make pretty sweet photos so I shed that too when playing with my kids.

I'll get back though in a few years.

I had a PDA.. and to be honest, I made the change from a smartphone from a dumb phone very easily. I actually had 2 PDA's.

I had a Nokia 3650 and a Audiovox SMT5600.. Symbian AND Windows. But after my SMT, I switched to a W800.. and to be honest, I've never really looked back.

But.. Now that im starting to use features of the phone like web browsing, email, document handling, Now I want a smartphone and im looking at the K-JAM (aka TMobile MDA). I want the P990.. but Its not out yet and it'll cost a small fortune.. So I think Im going to get the Qtek 9100/I-mate K-JAM/T-Mobile MDA/HTC Wizard/ + 50 other names for the phone.. (hehe)

I just got a 6682 and it is good and all but I don't use any smartphone features (word, excel, pdf, full internet). I just use it as a phone, music, video player. Thus I am switching back to the K790a it has everything I want and plays h.264 videos which I have. SE UI is simply the best for my needs. If I want it has the HTML netbrowser as well and also has e-mail abilities. So the only thing missing is Office and PDF oh and Cell trak. Love that Cell trak. Anybody know if there is a similiar program on SE phones.

I came from the P800 and P900, but could not wait for the P990, so I got the W900 until the P990 is released.
