    Field Test Mode Question

How does one read the codes in the Field Test? Mostly curious about the one where it tells you about the closest Cell towers. =Ž

    Re: Field Test Mode Question

You need test card for Motorola phones.
    How it work.
After you put the card in the phone, switch on it.
Now press and hold on #. After 5 seconds the phone goes to test mode.
Now enter 58# to see security code
or 59# to see user code

You can see photo of this card in my web site.

    You don't need a test card for a v60c/t.

    Here's how:

Press end a couple of times.
    then press menu 073887*
It will prompt you for the security code(default for 60t is 000000)
some of the CDN 60c had a different code.

Then scroll down to test mode and enable it.

Sorry to hear it didn't work. Maybe the V60g is different than the t and c.
I to have been asking if there is anyone who knows how to enable the Field Test Mode on a V66... but no answers!

Even if the people at Cingular _did_ know how to do it, they are not going to tell you, simply because you can edit stuff that normal users don't need to tamper with. Have you made sure that everything is cleared off by hitting the {END} key a couple of times before you do it?

Oh and by the way it's [MENU] 073887*

    That stands for [menu] 0SETUP*

    try again and see.
