I don't have a V3C, and no one has sent me one yet...

Btw, its not too difficult to do the edits yourself... The guide on my seem edit page is not that difficult to do...

Is there a reason you want someone elses? It would only save you about 5min or less... and, depending on who edited it.. you might not know exactly what edits were done... Doing it your self, you can be sure exactly what changes were made...

It would be great for this to go on the Wiki as well. Of all the things I have done to my phone, seem editing makes me the most nervous.

I don't really understand what I am doing; it doesn't seem like any change is taking place; I never quite knew if I needed to upload after each change or just each seem. etc.

I would have loved to have this predone seem!

The problem with the wiki now is that people are not realizing that the wiki for the Alltel should not be cluttered with stuff for the Verizon firmware. I believe seperate wikis should be started for the different firmwares. There are several seem edits that are useless for the Alltel firmware and can actually have adverse affects.

You will never get any kind of feed back during the seem edit process. Even using a pre-made seem.

as for upload after each change...

    From my seem edit page...
(Note: if making multiple edits to the SAME seem file, you do not have to click "save to phone" for each individual edit you make unless you want to. You can wait until after you have made all of your desired seem edits to that file and then click Save To Phone.)

    Thank you Mark,

Sorry for sending you a PM earlier, I'm a newbie here.

I'm going to try the MSU later since I'm using Bitpim right now.
One problem though, I can transfer picture using Bitpim's overwrite function but when I do the same (overwrite or add new file) for the ringtones to the /audio folder, Bitpim gives me error when transferring ringtones. But I am able to add the same ringtone (mp3 file, 30k size) to the /ringtone folder without any transferring error. The thing is after deleting MyToneDB.db and restart the phone, I still can't see the ringtone on my phone.

Do you have any idea? If not, I'll try the seem edit with MSU later.

Again, thank you for your help.

When I got my phone, it had version 02, and I had no problem transferring files with MPT or Bitpim. Unknowingly, I upgraded the firmware to 03, and I did the seem edit to open up file transfers again following the instructions on Mark's page, and Bitpim still says the phone is locked. Is there something else I need to do?
