    What does "UI" stand for?

What does "UI" stand for? I see those words being used and mentioned all the time on these forums but don't know what they mean. So can someone please explain what UI means aswell as what purpose does it have on cell phones? Thanks

    User Interface.

Basically, the layout and button-pressing combinations needed to get around in your phone and use the features of it.

The biggest problem I have with the Verizon UI is the SLOOWWWWNESSS. And the fact that you can pick any color you want to customize the menus.........as long as the color is RED.

side by side a USCC RAZR to a verizon one......hit the camera buttons. You can almost take a picture on the USCC before the VZW even opens up. What a waste of a very good phone IMHO.

Verizon has failed its customers with the standardized UI. Now there are no frills when switching phones, all the options are the same . I don't think USCC would venture into making its own UI anytime soon.

Hilariously agree. Go WM5 w/full customizations! USCC just needs to step up the PDA market with a non-BlackBerry device.

I dont think that there is a big enough market for them to do a PDA.
