Does t-mobile have a programming update number like Verizon?

Dialing 228 or something on my verizon service would allow the phone to pick up new towers in the area and get a software update.. I just switched to tmobile with a motorola v360 and I get bad service in my area even though there are a number of towers.

Anything I can do before I cancel this and switch to cingular?

GSM (T-Mobile & Cingular) automatically send updates to the phones without having to dial anything. CDMA (Verizon & Sprint) you had to dial a number to update the PRL (Preferred Roaming List) when you knew a new PRL was released by the carrier.

If you are within the 14 day trial of T-Mobile still, return the phone, pay for only waht you used, and switch to Cingular if you know they work in your area.

Just because you see towers, doesn't mean they are T-mobile towers.

There may be lots of towers in your neighborhood, but do you know which services use those towers?
