what do u mean by court order
a court order is when a judge says that something can be done. ex: release phone records, restraining orders, etc.Originally Posted by is_that_clear
you have to go to hire an attorney, file a police report and then go to court.
btw, the only way to get a court order is if something criminal is happening.
for more info, do an online search and go to some legal websites (since i'm not a lawyer).
If the person(s) calling you with the restricted number leave a voicemail, then you know who called.
This is my take on restricted/unavailble calls: If the person really wants to contact you, they can always leave a voicemail. If the person doesn't...oh well their loss that you can't call them back.

Yep.. that pretty much sums it up...
This is a RIGHT TO PRIVACY LAW! Anyone can RESTRICT THEIR NUMBER from a Verizon phone by dialing *67 +Number and SEND and their number will be blocked.
The only way to override THEIR PRIVACY is if they call you in a threating manner, I.E. Threats or words to that point. Simply calling you as a restricted call IS NOT THREATENING as what I understand this law allows.
You have to file a report with the POLICE, District ATTORNEY. They would have to sue for those records, and the odds are that it may take YEARS for you to find out who is actually calling you, if ever!.
Cellular phones and service has been my life for past 12 years... I have heard almost all the customer questions including "How does a HOME phone work?"
answer the phones and ask who it is and what their number is
I simply don't answer calls to my cell from blocked numbers. My home number is blocked, so this means I don't take calls from home unless they unlock the number. Especially during peak hours, I want to know who is calling me. If you refuse to identify yourself, you go to VM, and I "may" check it!
I don't answer blocked calls on my home phone either!!

Then what would we discuss in the forum, no, I think you should not answer the phone and speculate with virtual friends who might have called and how did they do it...Originally Posted by SuxBeingU
Personally, I answer all calls so I can tell them " please remove me of your calling list"
Does anyone know if you can block private numbers with Verizon ? Previously, with Nextel and T-Mobile I wasn't able to. This drove me nuts because I had some idiot calling me 40 times a day. (No, changing my number wasn't an option) It took about 4 months for them to stop.
No, you cannot block private numbers from calling you with Verizon Wireless.Originally Posted by jengo
