    help w/ deciding between E815 and V3M

hey guys, would like some input here. i'm looking to either upgrade to the 815 or the v3m. Both have the mp3 player i'm looking for, but i like the OBEX feature of the 815 that's not available on the v3m. is the OBEX feature permanently gone or will someone eventually find a hack? for those that have used both phones, which do you recommend? better reception? features? thanks guys.

Do not expect BT OBEX File Transfers on the V3M unless one of the following occurs...

    1. Someone figures out what is needed to add TF support to the LEAKED .04P firmware for Verizon's V3C... and then, you'd loose the VZW Media Player and other V3M specific software/apps on the phone...

    2. Another carrier (like alltel) releases the V3M having Bluetooth OBEX File Transfers in their firmware, and a copy of that firmware is LEAKED... Then again, expect lots of work getting all the verizon specific stuff working again, and the Vzw Music player, etc.. will be gone...

    3. Another carrier (like alltel) releases the V3M having Bluetooth OBEX File Transfers in their firmware, and the process to backup the flash/flex from one CDMA phone to a .SHX file that can be flashed to another phone is PERFECTED... Then again, expect lots of work getting all the verizon specific stuff working again, and the Vzw Music player, etc.. will be gone...

transfer files (ring tones, pictures, videos) between PC/PDA and the phone using just the Bluetooth drivers/software, no add on programs needed...

MPT can be used via USB cable or Bluetooth after seem edit to the phone...

BUT Bluetooth OBEX File Transfers and doing Bluetooth file transfers inside MPT is NOT the same thing...

Yes. In fact, before getting my E815, I had a V710... its bluetooth is the same as the V3M's... and all I could use was MPT...

Having the E815 which support BT OBEX FT's... I use it, but not having it wouldn't be a deal breaker, as I got along without it while I spend a year with my V710...

I don't really notice a speed differnce, however, I'm not sitting here doing time trials to know for sure...

Correct, seem edit won't disable the TF card.

I would get the V3m now.
