Question Does low battery affect reception?

    Hey guys,

I just picked up a new lg8300 from Verizon. Its a good phone, but i rarely get signal strength above 1 bar in my house. I was on the phone last night with a pretty low battery and dropped the call a couple times, when this didn't happen when the battery strength was higher.

Does a low battery also cause lower signal strength?

batteries lose voltage as they get lower. less voltage means less power to draw from and power the phone. this results in a degradation of performance.

Actually I would say that this is a design issue. It is easy enough to put a volt regulator to draw the max power from the battery all the way down and not have it be effected.
