100 ops for a quota?! Here in the SNE market (Connecticut), I know the full-time quota is 80

I filled out the application online but I don't think it matters. The first post really tells you what you need to know. They do behavioral questions to see what you've done in past work experiences. Be sure to explain yourself clearly and answering what they are looking for. Emphasize any accomplishments etc and say how YOU handled situations etc. It didn't matter for my case, but for most interviews I try to show up early.

And (YAY!!!!!!!!!) the quota is now up to 120 opps, with a "qualifier" of 50 activations in an area where people think text-messaging is something Satan did in the third testament. There are moments where I really hate working here. This month is just one of those moments, only stretched alot longer.

I've read this thread and understand that some people seem to have no trouble with quotas and other people do... it looks like it just depends on the area. Does anyone know what that's like in Eastern Virginia? How busy the stores are, in general, quotas, etc?

Also, what is the 401K? Online it says you can contribute up to 50%, but what is their match, and for how much that you put away do they match?

    Thanks!

Expect to be questioned on past experiences. How did you handle a certain situation? Any success stories from past sales jobs, work ethics, and pretty much the same questions you hear at every interview. If you can prove you can sell, and you have a knack for talking with people then your in.
Hi, I have an interview with Cingular tomorrow. Is there anything else that comes to mind as tips for my interview tomorrow?

pretty self-explanatory....not sure what else you should do. It's just like any other common interview. I'm pretty sure it might vary from manager to manager.

*le sigh* no offense to new hires or people who applied, but the quality of sales reps has steadily gone down. this thread is the perfect example.

most of the questions asked HAS been answered by mralif, yet its still being asked. people(new hires), every place is a different quota. every store is a different quota. ASK the manager or regional (if you havent begun work, wait until you do to ask or you shouldve asked them prior).

The original thread post pretty much sums it up. I love working for Cingular and have been hear for almost 2 1/2 years now. Although I wish our quotas were as easy as yours lol! We are in Western Michigan where it is a smaller but growing market. We are held to only 80 opportunities per month, 45 of them being new activations, but our other quotas include $16.00 per opp in feature revenue, $50 per opp in accessory revenue, 35% of $59.99+, and 2 ST&T Yahoo DSL sales per rep. We've gradually worked our way up to these quotas so it's not so bad. We are launching UMTS in our area in the 2nd quarter of this year so that has really helped to increase our features along with a large increase in the sale of Blackberries, Treo's and Windows Mobile phones.

someone said something about the quality of reps. lets see why. they decresed payouts on features, and now as of march first of 2007 they are making feature payout AT RISK. the tenured reps who have proven themselves, are simply being PAID LESS for the same work they've done for years. so the good reps leave. i just started in dec and im already pissed!

What do assistant managers make in the NY market in a Corporate store?

If anyone can let me know this that would be great. Thanks.

Do part time employees get health care benefits? Also, can they take their personal Cingular line and switch it to the personal use line plan after 90 days?
