It seems they did not sell such phones. There are no opportunities more? Is it possible to enable memory card on v3c Bell monster?
It is better to buy likely K1m. Who knows about this phone? Speak, it easily breaks.
PS, Mark, There are no problems work on my carrier. It works with all phones. (Verizon, Sprint, Bell, Tellus, Phelephone and other)
No, its not possible to enable MicroSD card slot support on V3C firmware, as that support is not present in the firmware in the first place.
Actually... You're carrier may allow the phones' ESN numbers to be active, BUT I doubt they will work for anything except for Voice and Text unless YOU do some serious hacking. Each wireless carrier has their server and data authetication schemes embedded in their firmware. Because of this, its nearly impossible to get another carrier's firmware working UNLESS Someone DOES SOME SERIOUS HACKING first...
Because of boot loader incompatibilites across firmware versions (which can result in a bricked phone), and that in most cases, your wireless carrier stores usually have access only to upgrade versions of their firmware, Wireless carriers are reluctant to flash another carrier's phone to their firmware.
Thanks for the answer. I wished to tell that was not present on their site (Bell and Telus) any information on this phone.
But, Mark, my carrier really works with any phones. Calls, SMS, MMS, WAP, EVDO works. The tools, such as V-Cast, are not present on my carrier, so they will not work.
Our carrier has no own firmware at all, it buys phones from manufacturers with stock firmware or from other operators (Usually Sprint and Amp'd). So, after flashing, i just write saved files (PRL and othe maded with Motorola PST) in phone and all again works. And i don't need to do backup any seems or something more.
Thanks Mark Venture! for all the many efforts over these seasons that you spent elevating confidence for us all and bringing to light vital details when there seemed little or no attention at different times.
I learned a great deal personally and especially as to do with the Motorola series E815 which is been a Dream Handset for me.
So heres to you for a very Happy Holiday Season with friends and family!
Now to try to ween myself slowly over to a new handset, Motorola Only of course. Am nearly a year into my NE2, as in way over due. LoL

Go Motorola! E815!!!
MirrorMirror On The Wall, What Is The Most Fairest Cellphone Of All.
Sorry for the noob-ish question, but as you can tell I'm new to this.
I have a Motorola e815 for Alltel. What is the best firmware I can use? I would prefer one with Java, but from what I've seen the Java is buggy.
Also, if its better not to flash, is there a way I can install themes? Every tool I've tried (8-10 of them) have either all crashed or not detected the phone.
If it is the newer hardware revision, the java enabled Bell flash won't work anyway as it's pretty old and Motorola used a different screen type on the newer E815's. I'm not sure how to tell on Alltel which is which. That being said I have not found Java to be buggy but I know I've read of several bugs. You're probably best off staying on Alltel firmware.
The E815 can be skinned easily enough though. You need three programs:
Skinner4Moto
P2kCommander version 3.2.6
Motorola Software Update (MSU)
Mark Venture's pages have info and links for P2K and MSU. Skinner4moto and a guide can be found here: http://www.freewebs.com/fsdesign/howtocreateskins.htm
It might crash if the phone is on when you write the skin. I have had much better success with the phone off and the battery charging. MSU must be running in the background for P2K to work.
As for the skinning. I've tried this method. P2K Commander detects the phone but cannot connect, it just keeps saying waiting on COM3. Do you know what the specific settings need to be besides the com port?
I am looking for the MEID for my V3c not sure where to find it. I have the ESN from under the the battery but didn't find any numbers the were labeled MEID. Is there one? I am trying to make a spare phone into an extension of this one and was told I would need the current phone (V3c) ESN & MEID to do it.
