    w810i sms inbox size

    i was wondering if their was a way to increase the inbox size on the w810i. 200 messages isnt near big enough for me as a send alot of texts.

    ive read some and from what ive read was that davinci or whatever it was hasnt added this feature for the w810 yet, but i could be wrong. or their might be another way that i havent stumbled upon yet.

    anyone?
    i cleared my inbox yesterday and i got the 'INBOX 95% FULL' or whatever the darn error is today, so that just shows you how many i go through. i mean it isnt that hard to erase them, just i wish it would hold more messages so that maybe i could last a week or two.

    I can not answer your question so excuse me for posting but I have a question;
    Why would you want to keep your texts ?

    I get plenty of texts myself but usually delete them immediately or maybe a day later, especially texts like: OK, See you then, etc... why would you want these ??
    Just curious !!!

    lol because it takes up my time to delete the inbox / sent message folder every day ;P and it would just be easier to do it every week.

    i guess i still am not over my S60 where i NEVER had to delete the messages because it kept them on the memory card. sometimes i would have over 4000+ texts in the inbox alone.

    Me too. Apparently, the option on the davinci flash (to increase sms box capacity) doesn't work.

    you can do it, as was previously stated you need to read the thread about hacking SE firmware. if you are a n00b i dont recommend it and you just need to live with it.

    Can you give a link? I follow Esato as well and must have missed that discussion. Everything I've read so far has said that it does not yet work on the W810.

    Psycho03,
    There is nothing in that thread that mentions W810 support. in fact, it clearly says the W810 is not supported (EDIT: 'yet') in that thread. What am I missing?

    That's correct, but it's a step in the right direction and the closest you are gonna get right now. There's currently nothing that can do what you are asking.

    Good news is some kind soul has found a way to do just that, amongst other things, with a lot of the other SE phones, so it may just be a matter of time.

    Or it may just never happen
