    Speculation on Bell's Upcoming phone's

    Hello Everyone,

I have been reading this forum for a while to get a feel for what phones Bell willl be coming out with next. This is what I have gathered from reading the posts. I could be wrong..

    1 high end Nokia
    1 low end Nokia
Availability for both - next four weeks
(Does anyone have and idea which phones they will be?)

    LG Chocolate
    Availability - before year end.

Thats all I got. Lets speculate some more, or maybe even convince the people who work at Bell to give us some more scoop

Personally, I am hoping that Bell come's out with something that matches up with Telus's Nokia slider. (2MP, expandable memory.. etc)

Or even more.. maybe Bell can pull away with the Samsung A990 with a 3 MP camera and every feature imaginable.

2 Samsungs ... Mid and Low Class are arriving within the next few weeks.

A Motorola rep has told us that the Q is coming in August

A Nokia rep has told us that a flip phone nokia is coming August/September
I'm not sure if its low/high end.

Bell needs more Motorola's. They're the easiest to use and they have good reception.

No, Bell needs LESS handsets. Our local indirect dealer has some 20+ freaking phones on the wall to choose from ! It's getting completely rediculous. I'm sure glad Latitude only carriers 7 handsets and 3 data devices.
Proudly packing a Latitude Wireless BlackBerry Storm & UT Starcom 7025

As per an insider. NOT TRUE.

Bell was offered a while back, waffled and they missed their window for 2006.
They were also offered the LG LX350 and the FUSIC which they passed on as well.

What I heard LG is on the outs with Bell right now. While the phones have been shown to be more reliable than their largest vendor (heard first hand from the Service side), Bell does not like LG's relationship with Telus, their engineering support is not as good as Samsung/Sanyo and they had lots of delivery issues last year.

Their software also isn't as customizable for Bell and their BWA partners, unlike Samsung, which incorporates all their software differences in a unified PRI.

Sanyo on the other hand has an exclusivity with Bell and the CTO and Samsung are great buddies, and the CTO and his terminal development group has lots of pull at Bell, as opposed to the product development sides at Rogers and Telus.

They will be taking the a580, Sanyo 6600 Katana and a low end Nokia that I know about.

I don't know about the high end Nokia or Mid end Samsung (actually nothing concrete that is)...

i have never seen an LG rep, and when i was looking to get an issue resolved for a customer, LG was not willing to help whatsoever...i was rather disappointed, as i have some other LG products in my house, and they are pretty good...their phones seem to be of pretty decent quality, and i don't mind selling them...the support we get from samsung is nothing short of spectacular.

we are also getting the Samsung A640 late this month, or early august.

And that is also dependent on region. Reps quality differ by manufacturer and region.

Maybe your LG rep is just not up to par.

Because if they told you they would have to kill you

I remember internally no one ever said boo about Nokia till the day it launched, other phones always made it into the grapevine ...

LG Ontario isn't any more helpful. Look at a thread I started months ago in the LG forum. We had an issue with LG 325s never seeing any service, and LG refused to replace them, even after their repair center failed to fix them several times.

Bell doesn't need less handsets. Rogers & Telus have a ton more than Bell.
