Cool best way to upgrade with tmobile??

    Hi All,

I am in my 11th month of service with tmobile, and after hours on the phone with customer care and some account specialist, they will not give me a better price on the blackberry 8700g than $249.

I am willing to do a 2 year if I get a good price on the phone, but really prefer a one year.

I am willing to pay up to $199 for the 8700g and a one year upgrade, but they do not want to do it.

    Any suggestions, please? Desperate!!

You could check ebay, or just wait for the prices to come down. Now that you have talked to a rep, and threatened to cancel so that you could get to retention, those prices are well notated in your acct. In the real world, you probably (and I stress the word probably) won't find the 8700g for $199 on a one year. It's good that you stuck to your guns and didn't cave, but you need to be a little more realistic about the whole thing. Good luck, and let us know if you get it.
We know exactly where one cow with Mad-cow disease is located among the millions and millions of cows in America but we haven't got a clue as to where thousands of illegal immigrants and terrorists are located. Maybe we should put the Department of Agriculture in charge of immigration.

I really don't see how this question has any relevance to your first question. The SK3 and the Blackberry's are marketed to two completely different groups of people. Yeah, they have quite a few similar features, but still different groups. And I would imagine that the people that did receive SK3's for free will more than make up for the cost of the device by the amount of desire they create by having it. I am positive that if you could convince the marketing dept. at T-Mobile that if they gave you a BB 8700g, that thousands more would buy it just because of your social status, they would probably give you one for free too.

that's right, as you said it, it'sf for a "new activation". Upgrading is not a new activation. that's why you don't get the great prices others get when they join the company.
