I have an L7 Slvr from Ebay, unlocked. My MMS and Internet won't work. Help? My carrier is Cingular and the phone is unbranded. Just says motorola.

i would be interested in the answer to mike's question. i have a non-u.s.a. market v180 which suddenly has lousy reception. can it be modified to work better and does anyone do this kind of work? i am a semi-computer geek but nothing near what you guys are for cells.

Generally, the kinds of modifications found in this thread won't solve RF issues, with a few notable exceptions. What I can tell you to do is try flashing to a new firmware. That can sometimes change the RF.

flashing to a new firmware? that's geek to me. i DID find firmware for the v180. can i just upload it to my phone?

Read the Wiki. It will tell you what you need to flash your P2K Moto phone with a new firmware.

I have tried this on the 17r flash. As well as enabling ENS. This offsets do not seem to be right on my V3. If I make these changes I get random different things that happen to my phone.

If I open seem 00a2 from the phone, each time I click load from the phone different values show up in the 4 fields that populate. Also if I try enabling ENS in the 0032 seem it offset 8b bit 4. It turns off the provider name sometimes.

So either I cannot follow the specfic directions or the map is wrong for this 17r flex. I have tried using P2Ktools with XVI and just used p2ktools. Both ways generate different results.

Can anyone tell me wth I am doing wrong?

Get your provider to send you an OTA with MMS settings. Should do the trick.

k... I have an unbranded w315 and apparently the multimedia transfer and data stuff is disabled. How would I go about enabling it?

I have the subsidy code from my provider (Alltel SimpleFreedom prepaid). I just have no idea what to do now.

Ok...I tried the seem edit to get rid of those weird text messages, but it won't work for me. Not sure why, but while in P2K Tools, when I click on "load from phone", absolutely nothing happens...nothing shows up in the tables. I have an unlocked v3i without itunes. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

What is one with a RIZR Z3 supposed to do about text messages and whatnot? The T-Mobile site does not have the Z3 as a choice for settings...
