the v3x is not and will not be compatible in the usa, it is only tri band. the v3xx has two versions. one is has the euro umts band and one has the two us umts bands. if ur phone has the two megapixel camera, then u have the v3x which only comes in one european non us compatible version. it lacks the 850 gsm band and has no umts band that will work here.
The American version (Izar) has not been released yet and the European version does not work on the 850mhz bands nor does it work on US HSDPA/UMTS networks.

my v3x has the 2.0 megapixal camera on the outside and what appears to be another camera on the inside in the center hinge.

I really want this phone! DOes anyone have an update on when teh v3xx will be released? THe threads been approved for a while... i really really want it!
I would also like to know when this phone might be coming out?? Is Cingular waiting to launch it with the 2nd, forward facing, camera until they launch their video calling service??
I am just hoping it comes out before that, but it seems like Cingular would hold off another few months and launch it with voice calling (or whatever the proper term is) and then charge an outrageously high premium for a "VideoCalling Razr"

So phonescoop says "While it's no surprise that this phone is coming to Cingular, what was surprising was that we were told the phone is already available. The V3xx has 1.8 Mbps HSDPA and all the applications that Cingular is including on its new 3G phones including video and music."
So do we think this means that the phone should be available any day now as soon as all the stores receive them?
My guess is the will wait till monday the 15th. When they are starting all the switching to ATT. Wouldnt be surprised to see them already att branded. I could be way wrong on that. But still think it will be on the 15th.

I don't think we are only two days from launch at this point. We certainly are not two days from the launch of an at&t branded phone.
its only a 1.8 phone? I thought it was going to be the 1st of the 3.6 phones! That's funny.

My 8525's battery gets killed in part because when it is in 3g mode, after i use the internet or something that uses data, the data connection stays open. Is this something that the v3xx will do because that's how 3g phones handle data or is this something that's unique to WM5 devices? I ask in part becasue the v3xx's battery is much smaller than the 8525 and i hardly get a day of use out of it.
