Stop text message window.

I've been trying to search for this but can't seem to find what I want pr maybe i'm just not using right words to search.

Is there any way to stop the whole text message from showing on the today screen when u recieve a new one. Like possibly a reg edit or something, because its becomes annoying if you don;t want other people to see them.

you can only turn it off all together tho, that means the phone wont even say you got a sms except for the little icon at the top.

what id like is a way to change the time it takes to go away, its set to like 10 seconds, 1 or 2 would be better.
