AT&T 3G Rollout - Latest markets launching

Just an update for the Philly market. The South Jersey Shore area should be completed by Memorial Day. They do not work on the network after that day because of the large volume of people. Also, within the next month or so work should begin in the Harrisburg/Lancaster area. As it looks now, by the end of 2007, 3G coverage will be very widespread in this market. We are looking at Philly and the Burbs (which already is covered), South Jersey, Lancaster/Hburg. Lehigh Valley, and Delaware to be 3G.

Do you have any information on when central and north of Bucks county PA would be covered?

Nobody knows, I am also eagerly waiting for it here! Will upgrade to a 3G device once it finally is released!

Some of this overlaps what I said before, but this is all confirmed. Atlantic City and the S. Jersey shore will be done in May. After that is complete the rest of the region will be ballooned out from the Greater Philly area which has already been complete. From what I was told the growth would start to be noticable by/around October.

my friend saw the 3g out by luther, yesterday.

I use my data card around NW 63rd and Rockwell daily with no 3G yet. I was told by the Cingular store on Rockwell and NW Expressway that it would be March. I hope it will be sooner.

i live 10 miles nw of wellston, and no 3g yet on my v3xx or my lg cu500.

and i was told march also, by a walmart phone seller. and like you i wish it was today.

Furthest west (north ?) on the 101 in the Los Angeles area that I received 3G was 101 @ Winnetka (-55dBm). I lost 3G service before I hit Canoga. On the 405 in the San Fernando Valley, I didn't pick up 3G until near Sherman Way, and it was really weak at 101/405 (-95dBm).

Anyone know if/when 3g is coming to Central Illinois? (Springfield, Decatur, Champaign) Just got a 750 and would really like to use the 3g speeds on it. Thanks!

i was just informed by a reliable cingular source that lexington, ky is going to launch august 28th, 2007. barring no delays, that should be the official date so actually coverage should hopefully be by end of july sometime.
