gprs/edge and wifi easy switch t-zones plans

For those with T-zones plans.. I know you can utilize the internet with the proxy server for gprs/edge anywhere. Now when I want to connect to wifi, I have to disable the proxy in order for it to work. Which I do quite often and is becomming cumbersome to keep on having to enable/disable proxy settings between connections. So my questions is: Is there a faster way to switch connections without having to enable and disable proxys everytime? I like to have it so that when I leave a wifi area, gprs/edge will automatically be enabled for browsing without me having to do anything.
    Hi

Odd....I can use Wi-Fi and EDGE interchangably without doing any proxy setting changes. Did you hardcode the proxy into the EDGE network connection setting or are you running it from the browser (like if you use Opera, you have to type in the proxy server)?

    Solved

If you are useing T-Zones With Wi-Fi, click

    Start->Settings->Connections Tab->Connections Icon->Advanced Tab->Select Networks

Change the top one to: My Work Network
Change the bottom to the proxy you set up

Now you dont have to change the connections when you want to use WiFi or vice versa

Could you venture a guess on how you'd configure the sda?

The sda doesn't appear to have the same network setup as the mda. What does the top and bottom selection refer to? This would be switching from Tzones GPRS to wifi interchangeably. thanks

The above method does work but for whatever reason, PocketWeather wont connect via wifi unless you uncheck 'Use connection manager'. Also the proxy settings have to be removed or added depending on whether you connected via wifi or edge. Seems like no matter what I always have to change settings. Its hard to complain though because Im only paying 4.99$.

Any idea how to configure a Shadow so that I don't have to delete the proxy settings to use my wifi?

I guess I should have said I've searched extensively here and elsewhere and am only able to find a solution for MDA's.
There must be a way to configure the Shadow so that using wifi does not require disabling the t-zones proxy settings.
I would sure appreciate some input from anyone with a solution for the Shadow.
    Thanks in advance!

On my shadow, I don't have this problem. I have duplicate gprs and proxy settings, one for 'work' and the other for 'internet'. Are you specifically talking about IE? If yes, then did you set in IE options for 'automatic'?

    Thanks BadBob,
I too have t-zones configured as outlined in the Shadow FAQ and yes, I am talking about IE as well as email. When I connect to my home wifi network IE and mail do not work. I have PIE set to internet and have tried with the box both checked and unchecked. Very odd...
    Thanks for your response.
