verizon motorola Q on sprint network

My friend has sprint and wants a motorola Q. I know that both verizon and sprint run on CDMA, so if she buys one and unlocks it will it work on the sprint network? I'm a GSM user so i'm not sure on this. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

LOL...I swear that no one ever seems to read that thread or they just think they have the magic non-Sprint phone that will activate on the Sprint network.... I think the Thread should be in neon so everyone can see it better...

I wonder if I can activate my old Nextel i850 on Sprint CDMA since they own Nextel now???

i have a really old ericsson from US Cellular. think that would work? it is CDMA

what? are you saying that i can't activate my old ericsson phone from USCC on my employee fon plan with sprint? jeez, why didn't they tell me that in training. 2g fons were the best. green backlighting and non-color lcds and only 99 contacts

I'll assume that you're being sarcastic. It's hard to detect on the Internet, but I am fairly confident now that you're just being facetious.

You can't activate that USCC phone on the Sprint network, but you *CAN* pick up a Samsung N240 that is almost as nice, has cool *blue* backlighting and the worst RF of any phone ever put out. period. :-D

i was actually thinking of getting that after my sch3500

instead of upgrading i'm thinking of just activating a rubberband. it's says verizon on it, but i'm still hopefull. i even made an esn for it
