Grr, welcome to the internet. I see you have found forums. Cool. Did you know that all forums have this tool called a search tool? Did you know that you can find answers to questions people have asked before with it?

One has to wonder, if you don't want to spend time researching your question, then why do you expect people to spend time answering it?

To answer your question, I assume you mean a Mini SD card? And I assume you have either the MDA or the SDA but not both? First of all no legitimate manufacturer makes a 4 Gig Mini SD card. So if you have one either you got ripped off or you have connections I wish I had. BTW, I know that some 4 Gig Mini SD cards are being sold, but they are not truly 4 Gig even if Windows says they are. So no, the card will not work. Buy a 2 Gig mini SD card.

its his third post. be nice.

and i was researching the 4gigminisd card the other day and there are no answers to the two partitions of 2gb. obviously 4gb wont work, but the 2 partitions have a chance, maybe like a digital switch in teh registry to change from one card to the other? if you know if it will work or not or have any more info please let us know

Way to make a new guy feel welcome PhatFony, I'm sure he'll feel more inclined to participate in further intelligent discussions after that. prestiege, to answer your question, it seems that nobody on this board is quite sure just yet since the only other thread addressing this is this one and no definitive answer has been reached. as I recommended in the previous thread, perhaps we should try to use different ROM versions. Good luck and don't be pushed away from this forum, it's a pretty nifty place.

P.S. PhatFony Feel free to flame me if you want, I've said my piece and won't be replying.

Perhaps I was too harsh? Before I posted my very first message here I did do searches, and I did read many posts trying to find my answer. I even tried google searches and other things. But maybe that is just me.

Please note I did answer his question. Also a 4 Gig card was tried by someone but the thread is on a different board. That person tried the 2 partitions idea, but was not successful. BTW that person had a SDA.

Would it be better if in the future I didn't post anything, including the answer as I did above.

no harm done, im used to it, it happens to everyone, although i did do quite a bit of reading for this and other things and didnt see anyone ask this question, just after reading the topic of the guy who's phone changed his storage card name to storage card 2, it seemed like this would be a logical way to get a 4 gig card working, ive seen a 4gig card for sale at theoutpost.com, so was wondering if anyone tried this, my bad though, id guess it would be allover the forum if this were a work around to getting a 4 gig card working

Well, the drivers would have to be re-written to see both partitions at the same time, a 2nd virtual drive I suppose, like Daemon Tools. Wouldnt be that easy either. Anyhow, those cards that show up as 4gb under windows are the products of some formatting tricks.
