People, for the love of god, no more PM's. I'm traveling right now and can't answer them. When I get where I'm going, I'll post a legal link to the kit.
Personal messages asking where to get LGDownload or QPST are immediately deleted, so don't bother. They aren't hard to find, search google and mobile-files.com.

The link has all the files required to do anything described in the tutorial.

Hopefully this will put an end to all of the PMs.

Playing around and discovered the following:

    1. go into service menu
    2. Get it now settings
    3. Option 16, get it now
    4. use right arrow to select media player, press okay
    5. scroll to settings and press okay
    6. review options ps bandwidth settings

Any ideas on what it does?

PS = Pseudo streaming. No idea what it's for but that's just the hidden media player. It's the same on the 8100 as well.

    And...nightime mode

Discovered if the left or right key is pressed for about 5-10 seconds, the front display comes on for an indefinite period at reduced brightness..along with the front keypad. Cancels with any keypress or flip-open.

In addition, it seems to me that the new firmware offers the full screen digital clock, which is very nice.

This is different behavior, related I believe to the new f/w, not a blue tint. Thought it's best to keep f/w related conversations in one place.

What's the difference in behavior? In my post in that same thread, I said that when I press and hold the Left or Right Key the screen on the front is not as bright. I had no blue tint. The blue tint depends on what theme you have. I don't know that you can say for certain that this happens because of the firmware you have. Some had V01 and the front screen still changed when the left or right key was pressed and held for a few seconds.

At any rate, functionality, questions or issues related to the f/w upgrade should probably be kept in one place, rather than in separate threads all over the board. That is why I chose to post my comments here.

It has nothing to do with the upgrade. It works on both V01 and V02.

I hated the MOD player. it would for some reason seperate songs with identical id3 tags (except the song title) to different albums, some songs just wouldn't show up at all...and playlists didn't even WORK unless I Sync'd through WM10 which I damn well will NOT do.

piece. of. crap.! I'm going back to the old player as we speak.
