My 8300 V03 mic had died (just over 600 lifetime minutes), so I activated my 8300 with V01 (just under 200 lifetime minutes). I DL'ed the Complete_VX8300_Flash_Kit.7z .. two times and each time I get file/archive is corrupt with WinRAR & 7-zip.
OK, which file exactly? I just downloaded T83V04.ZIP and it unzipped just fine. What came out of the zipped file was:
T83V04.BIN (21,789KB)
VX8300DLL_VER_0_2_45_0.MSI (4,197KB)
You can always take it to a corporate store and have them flash it.

I didn't see that V04 FW...it's not the one I want, I want the V03.
I know this thread is old, but technically I'm not bumping it since it's a sticky.
First, many thanks to bfoos for the original tutorial. It was a tremendous help when dealing with my VX8300.
I've already downloaded the V03 firmware and 8600 dll from humpa's site for the ordinary upgrade on a VX8600, but does anyone know where I can get the scr, prl, and bin files required to refurbish it if necessary? Thanks.
Does anyone besides me still read this thread? Is it possible for me to use QPST to dump firmware from one handset and write it to another? I'm trying to copy everything except the ESN/HEX/MEID/IMEI from one phone into another due to the "Registering Applications" message at startup on the bad phone. The good one (the one I'd be copying from) does not display the "Registering Applications" message, ever. I want to use the OS and firmware and all system files from that good phone and copy them into the bad phone, with the intention and hope of eliminating the "Registering Applications" message while maintaining full functionality of both phones.
