For POP Email, what SMTP to use?

I've searched through the forums, but am confused about what SMTP server to use for outgoing POP emails.

Do I use "myemail.t-mobile.com" in the SMTP settings? If so (and if it's really that exact thing ''mymail...."), does it require authenticiation?

Sorry...I figured it out.
I've just switched to TMO. Previously had Sprint and Cingular. Both of them required you to use their SMTP servers (smtp.sprintpcs.com and cwmx.com, respectively). I had assumed TMO was similar. In the meantime, I used my "own" SMTP and now it works fine...
